Invicta Pro Diver Wood Watch
I am not always a fan of Invicta watches, but with the number of pieces they release, there are bound to be some cool ones. Lately I have been fascinated with watches that have wood in them. Some watches are all wood, while others use the material for the dial, or other elements of the watch. Invicta has taken wood and used it in their Pro Diver watch, for the "Pro Diver Wood" watch. You can see that wood is used as the center link in the bracelet, as well as for the dial. The wood used is actually teak - a popular wood when it comes to water resistance. Well, I have feeling it is highly treated though. The links in the bracelet are capped in steel to reduce wear. While the dial isn't the epitome of clarity, it is considered "unbusy" by Invicta standards. In all steel, the case is 48mm wide, and actually have a really attractive looking rotating diver's bezel.Going? back to the bracelet, you'll notice the use of what looks like tons of screws to hold it together. Feels like Invicta want
Thoughts on the 5711?
I've admired this watch from afar.Any views (or pics) from owners would be much appreciated.I'm under the impression that in the U.K. there is a waitlist of some time so I called an AD and asked to go on the list for a blue dial. The lady I spoke to said that Patek work slightly differently to Rolex and generally they find out in February what they are likely to get in that year. Can anyone confirm if that is correct?I've bought various watches off the AD but not at that store so don't know anyone there. However the owner of the company supplied me their first white dial (hence why I'd like blue) 116500 so I'd like to think I'm in with a good chance. I'll be speaking to him in a few weeks as he's invited me to a Rolex event.
Gmt II steel pepsi ... wait time not too bad
After speaking to my Trusted AD , they have advised that they expect to see the first new GMT pepsi june / julySo hopefully not too long to wait .i should get the first one in their store . I have a good history with the Ad as they delivered me a Hulk no wait, daytona white face (waited 3 years) c black ( waited 18 months)The AD advises that when they asked their Rolex official contact a bit back if they would ever produce a pepsi bezel in steel the answer was No . As it costs too much to produce the bezel. So they must have found a way of making it more cost effective. He reckons he will only possibly see 3 pieces per year to begin withHe has spaces on his list .

In search of a BLNR
Hi Everyone, Been browsing the forum, drooling at all the BLNR's out there. I'm normally on the Omega Forums, and the BLNR is on the list for being my first Rolex. Just that every time I have funds saved up, there is a new Speedmaster released, so I never had the funds to pick up a BLNR. As luck would have it, my boss (and watch collector) would like to thank me for the excellent work I've contributed to the company. He knows I'm an avid Omega collector and fan, and offered to gift me an Omega watch for Christmas. Asked for a couple of watches I was interested in. I provided him two watches. An Omega, which I've had my eye on, and a BLNR. I put the BLNR second, and noted as If you would like to gift me my first Rolex.Maybe that works, and I've been quested to find one in stock. So, if anyone has an AD in the US (not in California) that has a BLNR in stock and willing to ship, I would greatly appreciate any leads. Looking forward to joining the Rolex and BLNR Family.
