Hi,The Asian restaurant I frequent has a bartender who is a fellow watch nut. We've gotten to know each other quite well. He has a vintage 1956-1958 AP. He brought it in to share with me and I figured I would share with you. I don't know much about it. So if anyone knows any info feel free to chime in. Omega Service Question
I just purchased a new PO from an AD. The watch is running +4.5sec /day which as you all know is within COSC specs. If I have my local watch maker regulate it, the warranty will be voided. I contacted my local Omega AD about getting it regulated and their reply was : As an Authorized Dealer of Omega, we can send your Planet Ocean in to Omega for a service under warranty. Omega does not authorize any in-house watch makers for warranty service. There will be no charge, I will however need the warranty card and it will take 6-8 weeks to complete. The Planet Ocean is Chronometer Certified and this means that the time keeping needs to fall within a specific daily rate. That rate is -4 seconds to +6 seconds a day. This means that your timepiece is working within the Chronometer Certified range so I cannot guarantee that sending it in to Omega for regulation will change your daily rate significantly.Does anyone here have experience sending a watch to Omega for regulating? speedy pro....chrono hour off?
Has anyone noticed that the hour dail of the chrono (the dail above 6 clock) is a bit off? The minute hand is dead on and will jump in 1 min increments. For every 60 mins (2 complete turns of the min dial), the hour dial should move up by one hour. I noticed that that hour dial is ahead but approx 7 mins meaning that whenever the timing reaches 53 min, the hour dial will indicate that 1 hour has already elapsed. Anyone else have this problem?

Spring Bar and Bracelet Questions
For vintage Rolex, does having an authentic Rolex Spring Bar matter in terms of valuation and originality of the piece? For bracelets there are clasp codes and serial numbers attributing to the year and this should match the serial number of the watch case to be original overall. How about spring bars? Or do generic spring bars do the trick and spring bars do not really matter in terms of valuation
