Hamilton Celebrates 120 Years With Exhibit at New York’s Tourneau Time Machine
Hamilton Watch Company, founded in Lancaster, Pennsylvania in 1892, marks its 120th anniversary this year. To commemorate the milestone, Hamilton has collaborated with the National Watch & Clock Museum (NAWCC) , one of the world's largest museums devoted to the art, science and history of timepieces and timekeeping, to curate a month-long public exhibit of Hamilton archives at New York City’s Tourneau Time Machine. The exhibit, which opened on June 4, takes a look back at Hamilton through the years, and is chock-full of interesting items for watch lovers and history buffs, including photos of the original Hamilton factory and past employees, several vintage timepieces (including a marine chronometer from the 1940s, an original Hamilton Pulsar, and the Ventura model that Elvis Presley wore in Blue Hawaii), dozens of old advertisements, original company newsletters and video testimonials from former employees. All items are either from Hamilton's archives or on loan from the NAW
Could'nt resist trying this AP
Went to collect the strap and buckle for my bumble bee and they had one of these on display .....Anyone see one in wild or in AP boutique ? allthough bigger size wise then my bb is was lighter on the wrist and fit on leather strap wasnt too bad either :-)The price tag was equally shocking !
Vintage Seamaster 120
New to the forum... I would like to share a picture of my vintage Seamaster 120 handed down to me by my dad... recently had it restored back to its old glory with new bracelet included... I think its from the late 60's... I also have an older seamaster handed down to me by my grandfather (gold plated, late 50's?) but I can't seem to find the gold mesh bracelet to go with it (this is the bracelet he used with it but not sure if it is original to the watch)... I also have a bond seamaster 300 m which is an awesome watch...
PP 5127R Advice...
Hi All,I'm picking up my first PP next week... For a very long time, I've wanted this piece although I'm not sure if it'll hold its value well in say 4-5 years time.Admittedly I'm also tempted by a RG Day-Date and while it's certainly style over substance I feel it offers a bit more versatility considering it's on a bracelet and has no trouble being dunked in the sink.Right now I've got a steel Royal Oak and a RG Royal Oak on leather strap... I'm certainly leaning towards the Calatrava and would appreciate your advice...Thanks, M.
Now that Carl Bucherer has bought Tourneau
Do you think that blue bronze bay will become more available?
