Watches NEWS
Augmenting Reality - The Stock Watches App
Technology today has changed how we do a large number of things. Think back to just ten years ago, before true smartphones, and the limited capacity our mobile devices had. Remember back when minutes were the big thing that the carriers got you on? Evening and weekend minutes ring any bells? That way of thinking has shifted and now minutes are a non-commodity where data is now king. Our banking has changed, how we find places and get to them. All have come about at an amazing pace. Even shopping has largely changed, with the ability to quickly make a purchase from your smartphone and have it on your doorstep in two days, or the next day if you so desire (and in some markets even the same day!).One area where technology has not yet made that big of a change is in the ability to try before you buy. This extends to clothing, shoes, eyeglasses and, yes, watches. Brick and mortar stores are the way to try on a piece before you pull the trigger to see how it fits, if you like it, etc…
Your thoughts on using MSC OEM strap on 44RG?
I am contemplating in changing the oem black strap on my 44RG to the slightly brownish (much softer feel) michael Schumacher oem rubber strap.. I am wondering anyone here have done it? Any photos? What are your thoughts?Thank you! James
Any Montoya love???
I know most love the RB2 in Ti, but does anyone besides me like the Montoya in Ti? Is it also a good quality LE F1 AP?
What's wrong with the 5130?
I continue to look for my first complicated calatrava. The 5235g I'd on order, but with no hope for it anytime soon. I travel a lot and would like a dressy world time to complement my 5711 and 5164.I tried on the 5130g and liked it. However, that was at a large mall chain, who doesn't sell coveted pieces and tries to push upon you slow moving models. Anyhow, nobody here talks about this piece and instead talks about the 5131, 5575 or 5110. I do like it though. So, what is wrong with this piece and what am I missing?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1415251054.215584.jpg
3940 vs. 5140
Mates I'm in the mood for a perpetual and can't decide between these two in either WG or Platinum. Anyone that owns both or has tried both on ? I've tried on the 5140P blue dial and G white dial and found the dial small and the details difficult to read. Never tried the 3940 but told the dial is easier to read despite a 1mm size difference. Opinions would be helpful here please.
