Tissot Seastar 1000 Automatic Chronograph Watch
It does not surprise me that this year we get a new Seastar watch from Tissot, but this particular neat design wasn't expected. There is something retro about it - likely the thinner rotating diver's bezel - but it has a nice modern looking dial. Detail is pleasant and the functionality seems sound for this circa $1000 timepiece collection. The dial will come in a few colors. Seen here are just two of them being black dial with white and blue accents, as well as the black and orange dial. Having two different tones of blue is a benefit to the black and blue one (call it bruised, I dare you). Features such as a small but present and sloped flange ring as well as slightly depressed subsidiary dials give the dial a higher end look. The dial is also pretty easy to read thanks for the slick layout. The hands and hour markers are coated with SuperLumiNova. One this I don't get is the Seastar "1000" name. The case is water resistant to 300 meters not 1000. At least when you have a numerical val
Blu Galaxy Watch: Pretty Little Cosmos
Isn't this a pretty looking watch? Pretty in the way a man can wear it and not feel weird. Before you start reading this article, please start the video below. You can then get in the "cosmic mood" to read about this watch. As KC Tay mentioned in regard to two of the images above that he took located on Horomundi, this is a notoriously difficult watch to photograph. Why? Because the beauty comes from the spectacular array of sparkles that comes from the galaxy looking dial of this correctly named Blu Galaxy watch, and these are simply hard to get on camera. This is one of Blu's first watches and was released in 2000.The watch dial is the major attraction and is constructed from something called Aventurine, which is a type of glass made with small copper particles inside. The copper particles inside of the man-made glass provide the incredible glitter look. Here is a bit about Aventurine directly from Blu. Note that the Aventurine used in the Galaxy watch is made in the Murano region of
Romain Gauthier Talks Watches: Video On New R. Gauthier Brand And Prestige Collection
Image courtesy of Gary Tok.Yes, another new watch brand. And yes, they are pretty lovely. It really amazes me that so many new luxury watch companies seem to come out of the woodwork, each with their own unique flair and style. R. Gauthier watches are in a class of simple yet elegant watches that are nice without trying too hard. The first line being the R. Gauthier Prestige collection. Various colors and case materials from steel to gold are available . The off center dial leaves room for a more artistic take on watch dial design with emphasis on classic elements like Roman numerals and textured dials. It is actually a refreshing departure from the aggressively "futuristic" look of many new watches that claim to be such feats of mechanics when they really are not. The R. Gauthier is unpretentious and appreciated. In the video, Romain Gauthier himself talks about his new brand - focusing on the design, the unique rear placed crown that can be wound while worn, the area where the watches
Omega 2251.50
Hello,I have become quite interested in purchasing a Seamaster 2251.50 however am having a hard time trying to source a store that actualy has any in stock. I have attached some photos of the watch as if your anything like me serial numbers are of no real help.It is such an understated watch but very beautiful in my eyes. A perfect watch. With the American excnahge rate so strong it seemed to be a logical time to pruse a purcahse.Any advice would be appreciated.
