Watches NEWS
BEST FROM: watches-dealer & Friends August 16th
In the past two weeks, watches-dealer reviewed two affordable dive watches that changed my mind about boutique dive watch brands. And the other end of the price spectrum, there's Patek Philippe's lovely new Gondolo 8 day watch; and we examine the differences between buying watches online as opposed to a brick and mortar retail shop.?Speaking of buying watches, after-sales service is very important for luxury watch brands and I recently found out how Audemars Piguet takes care of its customers in Singapore.1.?Bell & Ross BR01-94 Pro Titanium Carbon Fiber Watch ReviewTo have a instantly recognizable design is one of the highest praisees a watch designer can have, and one cannot deny that Bell & Ross watches have a look that is distinctly theirs. The brand recently updated its BR01 Pro lineup to include this watch - the BR01-94 Pro Titanium Carbon Fiber - which combines two hardy materials, titanium and carbon fiber, to create a super sporty and durable sports chronograph.Source:

Totally different watches but similar price. Which would you choose? Without the chin
5905 Blue and 5170G on the wrist.
I was able to try on the new 5905 Blue (well new to boutiques) and the 5170 in black. I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed the 5170 in black, an altogether different feel than the white dial. More pop to the dial and the breguet numerals are very sweet. Wears beautifully too. I was a bit surprised at how soft the chronograph reset button was. I don't remember the movement behaving that way but it's been a while since I played around with the white model. The 5905 was also a surprise. The blue is done very nicely, sunburst, and sleek, but a bit more subtle than I imagined. I still don't love the font on the sub-dial, though in real life it's less prominent than in pictures. The case is big and heavy - 42mm x 14 and it feels every millimeter of it. Though the rectangular pushers lessen somewhat the visual mass. A nice piece, though I'm still not sold on the design choices. IMG_1882.jpgIMG_1889.jpgIMG_1888.jpg
Thread with a man whose son passed in an accident, and his rolex was engraved.
Hello,Hope you are all well.Do you guys remember this thread?A gentleman whose son had passed away in an accident, whilst wearing his watch. That watch was later engraved by one of the reputable watchmakers during service.I remember reading it a few years ago, and it was quite emotional. If anyone has a link to that thread, I would really appreciate it.
Rolex Space-Dweller
Learned something new today. I had no idea Rolex once produced a Space-Dweller. https://.bobswatches/rolex-bl...e-dweller.html
