TimeCrafters Watch Event in New York City September 14-15
Fledgling US-based watch event TimeCrafters is back for its second year. The event is trying hard to be the reference American high-end watch show to compliment SIHH and Baselworld in Geneva and Basel, Switzerland. Many famous high-end brands from the Swatch Group, Richmont, LVMH, and more will be there to show off their 2012 creations. I would have been there this year but other travel plans got in the way.The good news is that TimeCrafters is open to the public for the reasonable admission price of $20 at the door or FREE if you register online via their website. It is a good opportunity for watch lovers to converse with brands and have a more hands-on experience with the latest and greatest in high-end watch making. Hey everyone! First time in this neck of the woods so be nice I have always been a Rolex and Omega guy. I recently acquired my first Panerai and as you can guess I have my heart set on a Royal Oak as my next watch.For lack of a better term, the Royal Oak 15400st has been sort of a grail for me, except unlike most true grails, I can own this watch one day. The question is, when? I've recently blown through my toy budget, so no matter what my next watch will likely not arrive in the very near future. Do you guys think I have any chance of finding the silver snoopy while in Japan? I am in Nagoya and have been to three dealers with no luck. I am going to try Tokyo next weekend but not sure if I will have any luck. It would be awesome to find it at msrp vs the inflated price they are currently selling at. Vintage Conny crystal replacement 'problem'
I wish to replace the crystal on my CL168.016 conny and have purchased a genuine PZ5111 and Bregeut type crystal removal tool. How much pressure should I be using on the tool? It seems incredibly tight and am concerned about scratching the case! Should it actually be accessed via the back of the case after removing movement?Thanks in advance

Any chance Rolex comes out with a 41mm Oyster Perpetual?
I really like the Oyster Perpetual face. Basically a Datejust with no date. The clean look really appeals to me. But I'd like to see it in a larger format.So, Rolex pros, any thoughts or rumors that they'll produce a 41mm version?
