Gustafsson & Sjogren Bifrost Isbla Damascus Steel Dress Watch
According to Gustafsson & Sjogren, the watchmaker/bladesmith combo team out of Sweden, the Bifrost represents their first dress watch collection. I sort of have to disagree with that premise, as many of their other watches could have easily seen dress watch duty (depending on your style). A good example is the superlative Gustafsson & Sjogren Winter Nights watches (hands-on here) that combine a lot of design and watchmaking nerd appeal.Having said that, the upcoming Bifrost collection will certainly suffice as a casual or dress watch, if you feel that one of Johan Gustafsson's "high contrast" individually-made Damascus steel dials is suitable to pair with your suit. As is their custom, each new watch collection from Gustafsson & Sjogren (aka, GoS Watches) begins with an individual model which will later be followed up with others that feature varying dial styles and possibly colors. The AP 15300 is Here!!! Loving it!!!
This morning FedEx came by quite early. I was expecting two packages. One with my AP 15300 from DavidSW and the other one from the best Ribs in the U.S. straight fromRendezvous Ribs in Memphis,TN. I will be enjoying both on SuperBowl Sunday. My AP blue tappiserie will be the lucky charm so the NY Giants win the big game once again just like in 2008. Don't go with Titanium!
Hi all,I was in Hong Kong last week and went to an AP AD whilst in town to compare prices with London. When in the boutique, I noticed the Titanium Themes (26170TI.OO.1000TI.01) and immediately asked if I could try the watch on.I've read elsewhere that no one does a grey dial like AP, and based on my experience with this watch in person I wouldn't be bold enough to disagree. As expected for the case/bracelet material, it was phenomenally light for its imposing size - I'm still undecided as to whether this lightness is a good thing though! (I like the idea of feeling like you are wearing a watch!)I didn't purchase the watch whilst in HK, however am seriously considering sourcing a top notch pre-owned model from somewhere in the globe... maybe even using my newly-purchased DSSD to part fund (buying two watches of that calibre in the space of a few months is probably not the wisest of choices, I figure)...What do any/all you ROO lovers think of the grey dial and Titanium case/bracelet?I l

Hi all,We have an opportunity to visit Geneva for a day in a few weeks while on a European vacation. It's not in our agenda and will involve a fly in/out on the same day. So my questions are: is it worth it? Does the store have a huge variety (ie a blue 5711?)? Are watches a good buy in Switzerland?Thanks in advance!!
