AP ROO Rubber Clad Strap help!
Hi everyone, new to the forum here, but I think its the best place to ask. I have a AP ROO Black Rubber Clad. The deployment buckle that came with the rubber strap is extremely uncomfortable, and rests on the SIDE of my skinny wrist. After wearing for a short while, there is a painful mark on my wrist. I changed to a Survivor rubber strap, but the smallest hole is still too big for me. What options will you suggest? I would prefer to keep the rubber look to match the rubber look on the rubber clad, but I'm open to exploring new options so that my AP doesn't look like it's gng to fall off my wrist. Of course, comfort too. Thank you so much!
Which would you take on this trip?
Hello everyone here at TRF! I am just learning that I'll be heading to Vegas for a long weekend in about a month. Being the WIS that I am, I am already focusing on the most important detail.....which watch to bring along. There are 2 that I am considering and would like you opinions on which to take.Option #1). Patek 5164ImageUploadedByTapatalk1424630017.276414.jpgThe advantage to this option is of course the two time zones. In addition, it's extremely comfortable to wear and I tend to worry less about it getting dirty since I can always just give a quick clean in the shower. Plus, the versatility of being able to lounge with it by the pool, then go to a nice dinner and a show. On the downside, it just isn't as elegant or flashy, and Vegas is sometimes the perfect opportunity to be a little showy. As stupid as that statement sounds, it is somewhat important to me.Option #2). Patek 5960PImageUploadedByTapatalk1424630325.373328.jpgMy desire to bring this piece on the trip simply c
Could lenghty wait lists cause loyal Rolex enthusiasts to turn to the fake market...
Mods: My sincerest apologies. Please lock and/or delete this thread. I'm very sorry for having brought up this topic.I was just responding in another thread, and I started thinking about the lengthy wait lists and was trying to think of a solution...And then it occurred to me... Rolex could cause some of those who are salivating for their turn on the wait list to turn to buying counterfeit versions of the watches. I'm sure that would not be unprecedented. And then it occurred to me... What if... What if Rolex limited production on SS models and has a Chinese factory churning out fake stainless steel versions of their watches? I know it sounds far fetched and even blasphemous, but what if...I'm just thinking out loud. Fakes are illegal of course, and I report them on WatchOut... But if a company didn't really want to produce a large quantity of certain items, they could release a few and publicize the model and then quietly/secretly earn $$$ from the fake market.I'm sure nothing
How much discount can I expect from an AD Tudor
I'm buying my first luxury watch soon, I hope. I have my mind set on a Tudor Pelagos (black, probably new model). I have gone to the AD and they quote me 10% under list price. I have phoned other AD but they all stick to the list price. What is a realistic % discount to expect from an AD?I don't mind paying +/- 10% more than the gray marker, but the difference is at the moment closer to 25%. For me this is quite a big deal.
