Pairs Well With: Squale 101 Atmos
It's not spring without torrential downpour. Sure, people get annoyed at this, but I tend to welcome it. The dark skies, pitter-patter of rain, empty streets and sidewalks; it's kind of soothing well, in NYC at least. The other part I enjoy is that April showers force you to dress differently. You can go different routes with that challenge; one, you could just throw on things you care less about; old shoes, comfy jeans, a plastic poncho you received for free but can't remember where. Or, you can dress to meet the rain head on and welcome it with well-considered attire. That way, when you get to work, the movies, whatever you will appear to have bested the weather. And the most important part, naturally, is your selection of watch. It's raining; it's dark out, potentially windy with low visibility and, obviously, wet. Sounds like a perfect opportunity to break out the dive watch. Sure, you don't need high water resistance to endure a downpour, but when the storm you headed out in pick
In-Depth: Inside The Archives Of Audemars Piguet (Video)
To me, vintage Audemars Piguet is one of the most exciting, underappreciated, and beautiful categories of watches to study and collect. But let's not get it twisted.I won't pretend that as a whole, the vintage Patek Philippe market doesn't trump just about all other vintage markets combined, including AP. Still, that doesn't mean individually Pateks are the most valuable, desirable, rare, or even most interesting. I would contend, and I know I'm not alone in this, that piece by piece, a complicated, vintage Audemars Piguet is far more interesting than your average complicated vintage Patek, and after this article, I think you'll agree with me. 1 OF 60 Today, we've prepared for you a highly detailed recap of a full day that we spent with the team at Audemars Piguet digging through some of their most important and beautiful early-20th-century pieces. Our hosts for this exploration will be Sebastian Vivas, director of the Audemars Piguet Museum in
Seamaster 2255.80
Can anyone tell me if omega makes a blue bezel insert to fit a 2255.80?
Do you polish your Patek at Service?
First of all, I would like to thank everyone that responded to me in regards to scratches on my 5712. As few days went by I'm definitely ok with it and understand that it's part of owning and wearing the timepiece. My next question, and that down the road, do you believe in polishing your watches. Some people say that they would not polish collectible timepieces but say ok to do on the current ones. Thanks again and I appreciate everyone's hep!
47mm submersible and 40mm submariner - a good match?
I am the very satisfied owner of a 47mm Panerai Submersible, however, I see myself starring at pictures of rolex Submariner 114060 again and again. My main concern is the size. 40mm is a lot smaller than 47mm. Do any of you swap between e.g. a 47mm PAM and a 40mm sub? How does this work out sizewise for you?Sporting my every watch: a 47mm PAM305Trying on a 40mm 114060 at the ADPS: DeepSea is not an option for me at the current time because of financial shortcomings.
