Montblanc Teams Up With the Breeders’ Cup
Montblanc has become the exclusive promotional partner in the timing category for the 26th Breeders' Cup World Championships. The company will present a Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec timepiece to the winning owner of the Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic and Breeders' Cup Classic in the Winners Circle. Considered thoroughbred racing's most prestigious global event, this year's Breeders' Cup will be held on Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7, at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California. Almost two hundred years ago, inventor Nicolas Rieussec attempted to develop a timing system that recorded the exact times run by individual horses, constructing a wooden case with a clock movement that left ink on two rotating dials to measure the time. Rieussec used his machine at a horse racing event held in 1821, recording the finishing time of each horse–with an accuracy of a quarter of a second. Diver short strap v. bracelet
Does anyone know if the SS bracelet with all the links removed is the same size as the diver short strap on the tightest hole or is it still bigger?
they are lowering production
It's not a secret that the watch industry is in trouble for the momentSome brands do barely sell watches, others offer models in steel that used to be in gold, or some brands use lesser finished movementsOr look wat lange did with the 'cheap' smaller saxoniaAll of this to survive in these hard timesWell I had contact with some Patek dealers and Patek is lowering the production. an AD get's lists with watches they will get in the next weeks / monthsThe last 'list' was was one with quite some cancelled watches. For example, the AD was promised 5 world timers , 3 Nautilus, 4 chronos and 9 Calatrava ... 5 went to 4, 3 became 2 etcI guess they don't want too much stock at the ADSo probably some sought after pieces with waiting lists will even be harder to get
for the Patek lovers, this is a very rare super high end piece ...
First I would like to thank Jacques Degreef otherwise I could not share those pics. It was the first time in my life I saw a Patek 10 days tourbillon. This was already a good feeling. I can't describe how it felt when I was allowed to 'play' with it between 10.00 and 11.30 this morning. Those pics are the best I could do but believe me, this watch gives you shivers.I could always sell my house and buy this watch but I have a strange feeling my girlfriend would not like the idea LOLSo I better stop dreaming. Such a piece will always be out of my league.BUT, if you really like the looks and want something similar (without the 10 days power reserve and ofcourse without the tourbillon) you can always try the 5124.At the fraction of the price you get a very good looking dress watch.
Incoming friend for the BLNR
Finally decided to pull the trigger on the 116610lv to keep the BLNR company and can't wait to throw it in the rotation.
