BA 175.0037, celebrating the 700th anniversary of Switzerland. According to the Omega Museum website, it's apparently the most complicated watch Omega has made in series.I've always wanted a highly complicated watch, and I never imagined I would find one that is not only an Omega, but a Speedmaster. George (Kringkily) was been stellar in helping me to acquire it. It's a modular movement -- ETA 2892 with Kelek perpetual module -- but it checks lots of boxes for me and is a wonderful addition. About 1.5 weeks ago I posted about the possibility that I may get a 5522 if someone did not pick it up. WELL it is OFFICIAL, I just sent the wire today and I am the proud owner of a 5522!!!! Long Wait!!
Just dropped off my GMT at the AD for a service, I only bought the watch second hand a couple of weeks ago and finally got the time to take it in. The time frame I was given was 2-4 weeks to receive the quote, then 6-8 weeks from time of approval to it being ready, lucky I have my DJ to wear in the meantime! Excited for it to come back looking like new so I can start my own journey with the watch and know it's in perfect health. Do any of you guys follow the same approach when obtaining a second hand watch? What do you do in the meantime while you're waiting for it to return?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
