Watches NEWS
Final coming of 2014, and a very special one...
Greetings, friends!I had posted this on another forum, but I also want to post here for my TRF friends... :DIt's the Omega Speedmaster Perpetual Calendar Chronograph Moonphase, LE of 50 for Japanese market only, ref. BA 175.0037, celebrating the 700th anniversary of Switzerland. According to the Omega Museum website, it's apparently the most complicated watch Omega has made in series.I've always wanted a highly complicated watch, and I never imagined I would find one that is not only an Omega, but a Speedmaster. George (Kringkily) was been stellar in helping me to acquire it. It's a modular movement -- ETA 2892 with Kelek perpetual module -- but it checks lots of boxes for me and is a wonderful addition. It's 39mm in diameter and 13.5mm thick (almost a full mm thinner than a Speedy Pro!).In fact, it's even reduced the number of watches I still want, since it's hard to follow this one. :PWithout further ado, some early photos...but take my word that it's way prettier in person (kinda li
5522
About 1.5 weeks ago I posted about the possibility that I may get a 5522 if someone did not pick it up. WELL it is OFFICIAL, I just sent the wire today and I am the proud owner of a 5522!!!! I am picking it up on Saturday!!! Will post pics when I do...and for the first time a family shot.Very excited and feeling blessed
Patek 5130g first Patek
I can pick up a new 5130g world time for ?24500. Is this a good deal or not I don't want to throw away ?4500 down the drain literally regardless of any discounted price if the used market price or trade price is only ?20,000.
San Jose where to Authenticate
Any suggestions on where to get a used GMT authenticated in the San Jose area?Thank you
Long Wait!!
Just dropped off my GMT at the AD for a service, I only bought the watch second hand a couple of weeks ago and finally got the time to take it in. The time frame I was given was 2-4 weeks to receive the quote, then 6-8 weeks from time of approval to it being ready, lucky I have my DJ to wear in the meantime! Excited for it to come back looking like new so I can start my own journey with the watch and know it's in perfect health. Do any of you guys follow the same approach when obtaining a second hand watch? What do you do in the meantime while you're waiting for it to return?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
