A Look At Cartier's New Maison de Metiers dArts In La Chaux-de-Fonds
If, somewhere out there, there is a harmonious valley in which watch-lovers can meditate, if there is a monastery in which they can discover inner peace – then Cartier’s new Maison de Métiers d’Arts in La Chaux-de-Fonds is likely to be that Shangri-La. It’s a place where one can admire and concentrate on the meticulous effort that makes the dials of haute horology.Cartier has transformed an old barn into a state-of-the-art watchmaking facility, showroom and greeting space for guests. In doing so, they’ve fulfilled the manufacture’s goal of providing a space that blends the company’s rich history with its current innovative watchmaking techniques. 2 OF 15 The ground floor sets the mood in blending the old and the new. Buying a Patek and bringing it into the US
Hi everyone. I am on vacation outside the US and I may have gotten extremely lucky. I stumbled upon a Patek AD and enquirer about the blue 5711 I've been looking for and the salesperson told me if I was serious they were getting one tomorrow and I could have it! So obviously I want to jump on this but I am concerned about the duties bringing it into the US. If I do this I'm not interested in breaking any laws, I will declare the full value of the watch to customs. I am trying to figure out how much the duties will be but I can't figure it out based on anything I've read online. I've seen figures quoted from 4-10%. Does anyone have experience with this or know what the duty is likely to be? Thanks in advanceSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Panerai 505.... man, what a beauty
So I tried out the 505 again, this time when I was at Beverly Hills PAM boutique. Man... still sings to me. I even tried out the 384 and although that's a killer piece, I still found the 505 to be a great watch. Not sure what to do. Just thinking out loud.Although I did get to try out the 335... nice watch too.
