Glashtte Original Sixties Iconic Watches With Five New Dials
Last week, Glashtte Original announced a bold expansion of their Sixties line up with the new Sixties Iconic. Set apart by a selection of five 1960s-inspired dial colors, the Glashtte Original Sixties Iconic line harnesses a mix of old-school tools and modern techniques to offer an interesting perspective on the continued trendiness of vintage design aesthetics. Taking a successful and classically proportioned design like that of the Sixties and integrating bright colors and uncommon textures takes the line in an different direction, promoting a more casual and laid back sensibility.Aside from the dials, the Glashtte Original Sixties Iconic is a direct extension of the steel Sixties models, retaining the 39mm case sizing and three-hand functionality provided by the calibre 39-52 in-house automatic movement. Thickness, including sapphire crystals front and back, is 9.4mm and the Glashtte Original Sixties Iconic comes on a Louisiana Alligator leather strap in a variety of colors depe
That feeling when...
You've bumped your AP on something and are afraid to look for the next couple minutes.....Luckily this time just bumped the crystal whe
Chrono pusher fell off...
Hi guys,so last night I was timing some pasta with my RO chrono, when I suddenly noticed the reset pusher felt a bit loose.I inspected it, and noticed that it was indeed very loose. Trying to screw the lock back in, the pusher fell off! I was lucky it fell off on the kitchen table, and not on the road somewhere, as it's the WG model. Well anyway, I noticed the pusher seems to be fastened by force, and I pusher it back in and it said snap, and now it looks like it's secure again.Has this happened to any of you? Could it be over tightening of the lock screw pushing the push-buttons out of their sockets? It does seem secure now, and the little spring was intact, and I could see any sort of damage, but this thing did freak me out a bit... Would have been pretty expensive to loose the push-button.
Super Ocean Heritage 46 too big for me?
I think Breitling nailed it with the story and look of this piece. The blue just pops!I wasnt going for bling....and that said, I'm thinking I went too big with the 46 while the 42 prob would have been a better fit. Does it look too big or is that how it was designed to be worn back in the day?Perhaps I need to find a bigger wrist RF member with a 42! If you know anyone...i have the complete set I bought here locally in Dallas from Bachendorfs.IamSamiam
Pay over MSRP for a SS Rolex or put it towards a used Ferrari?
Just a warning...this is MORE whining and complaining. The state of affairs makes me honestly sad...and I deal with sick and dying patients almost every day.I really wanted to commemorate finishing med school, finishing residency, finishing fellowship, and treat myself nice after all the stress I go through on a daily basis....but now I can't even get a new 116610LV which has been out for years unless I pay a grey market dealer $2,500 over MSRP. No one even has a 116610LN sitting around any more. Its worse for ceramic daytonas.Been on wait lists since last year...One local dealer here in Texas told me he had 20 on his list.Well, either the market will settle down, or the MSRP will go up and desirable SS sports models in the professional line will continue have scarce availability further exploding demand and price...Maybe the time to buy used is now before it gets worse? I realize owning a new pepsi or STILL waiting on a daytona or hulk will unlikely bring me a watch or any joy in
