Pellikaan Timing FC-Utrecht Limited Edition Watch
Dutch watch maker Pellikaan Timing has just released a really sexy limited edition set of watches made for the Dutch Football team FC-Utrecht. I couldn't care less about soccer, but the design is pretty nifty. Loving that custom NATO strap done exclusively for Pellikaan with the red and white stripes down the middle.My guess is that the logo placed in the subsidiary seconds dial is that of the FT Utrecht football team. I still don't know why teams are called clubs in Europe? That always confuses me. Or is that only with soccer? The watches are in steel and 45mm wide. Inside is a manually wound Swiss ETA movement. The standard Pellikaan dial is a great mixture of modern and classic. Hand-built in The Netherlands, the limited edition of 25 pieces Pellikaan Timing FC Utrecht watch costs 995 Euros. Early Christmas Present from Wife! (Omega HV)
Hey all,My wife just got me a slightly early Christmas present this weekend...it was not really a surprise since both of us walked into the store together...but she agreed to it, so that is just as good as her getting it for me!! :D I have been eyeing the Omega Hour Vision for over a year, but the admission price was just too high. I almost got it a few months ago when Bailey Banks & Biddle was in the early part of bankruptcy and was offering 20% off on the watch...but i still thought that it was too expensive for an Omega. Anyways, we went to the store again yesterday just to browse and see if there was any bargain to be had. Well, this is the end of Bailey Banks and they were offering 50% off on all their leftover high-end watches. I was thinking of picking up a Breitling or Tag for daily wear. When i passed by the Omega counter, there it was...the ONLY Omega left...the Omega Hour Vision...the same one that i have been drooling about for over a year! And it had the 50% off
Best performing Nautilus by 2022?
I know some will say that watches are not investments and appreciating them is not a monetary concern- and they would all be very right.....Nonetheless, of the in-production Nautilus range which one will see the greatest percentage money appreciation from current price today and 5 years time. (ps. by current price I don't mean retail, I mean the price you'd have to pay to get one today- the chrono24 price if you will, e.g. ?30,000 GBP for a steel 5711 blue NOT ?18,030) If you consider everything:-1. waiting lists for new ones2. big/small watches gaining/losing appeal3. gold and rose gold gaining/losing appeal4. chance of any of them being discontinued 5. estimated production numbers per year per model6. Please excuse a new thread on this topic - I was going to add my report to an existing thread, but I may need to post over a few days and it would have become too disjointed.Part 1I didn't really know what to expect from the Patek exhibition, but I have to say what a really excellent job Patek have done. The whole thing was very slick from start to finish. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed - I wasn't expecting as many people, so my advice is if you are going get there early.Also there is an iphone app available, so download before you go to get the best out of your visit.The exhibition is split into a number of different rooms and areas. After watching a short video the first stop is the Royal room containing timepieces owned by previous royalty.The two pocket watches in the photo belonged to Queen Victoria. This is one of the rooms where there is a lot of queuing to get in, with not much time to look at the exhibits.
