Omega De Ville X2 Big Date Watch Available On James List
This sure isn't an Omega watch you see every day. In fact, I am not even sure how widely watches like this square cased De Ville X2 are sold in America. This piece is only a few years old and comes in a few versions - I think it is still sold in retail stores. This model is the Omega De Ville X2 Big Date. Seen here in steel, it also comes in in gold as well. I am a bit fascinated by the design as it is highly unusual compared to what people in the US think of when they consider Omega watches.Familiar with the "California dial" that mixes Roman numerals on one side of the dial and Arabic ones on another? Well this watch plays with that concept in another watch. The "X2" for sample is Omega's way of writing "12." Just like "V1" is "6" (as opposed to VI). The watch design is actually quite simple aside from these whimsical elements and some "body cladding." Take for instance the triangular extremities on the lugs and the applied metal hour markers. Without these and a few Omega logos, thi
Used Omega 3570.50 - where to shop (delivery to UK)
Hi everyone, This is the time I decided to buy my first real watch and I am very nervous about it.After hours of surfing through the internet I decided that my watch of choice will be Omega Speedmaster Professional 3570.50. So the most classic of moonwatches. Due to limited budget, I can only afford a second-hand piece. So this is my question to all of you Omega lovers. The only reliable site I found for second-hand watches is Chrono24. Also there were few on ebay but I am afraid of custom fees when they are shipped to UK from Japan or US. Are there maybe any Omega second-hand stores in London? (I didn't find any particular when searching for them online). My budget is generally around up to 2,200 ($3,250) and I am looking for something younger than 2006 as they are usually in the condition I like. Also I would really like it with the original box and papers/cards. Thank you for your help,Matt

Firstly GMT hand has been corrected on the website and now shows RED. On Basel morning, it showed white on the site which was an error as display models all had Red GMT hand.Secondly - why did they not upgrade it with new movement 3285 and still has 3186 movement? You can't carry basically same watch in WG and SS and WG having older movement on the same catalogue. That is bad on Rolex's part. Movements are not made with WG. Even if they have huge pile of movements, they can still use them on BLNR and LN GMT models and not get wasted. They could have used 3285 on WG Pepsi. It a decision which doesn't need much thinking and you are not even wasting any movements/hands etc as that all can be used on older SS models until they phase out. Why do you think Rolex did this mistake?
