Dwiss Emme Watch
Initially available for the Brazilian market, this "Emme" watch is from new brand Dwiss. Silly names I know, but it is a potentially inexpensive way to get a mechanical watch that pretty well resembles what a lot of people like in an Hublot or Audemars Piguet Royal Oak.The Emme collection is made up of a few colors and dials styles for a range of looks that aren't half bad. What I don't like however is that open date window - and Dwiss already knows that. The cases are 43mm wide and are made from 9 pieces with a lot screws. Those "side claws" appear to be loosely reminiscent of those on the Omega Constellation models. The cases are water resistant to 100 meters. The dials themselves are modern and sport. They aren't triumphs of uniqueness, but they are legible and not boring. Over the dials are sapphire crystals. While the images are clearly renderings I think the final pieces will be nice to look at. The Emme watches are attached to black rubber straps and contain Swiss ETA 2824 automa
First AP thoughts
I have a DJII (116300) and want to buy an AP to compliment it. I have a very tiny wrist, about 6.3, and I do not want the classic Royal Oak. I'm thinking about getting the new 2014 rubberclad. I think it is casual enough and different enough from the DJII that the two will compliment each other very well. Would I be able to get this with a shorter strap? When I was looking at watches, everything that came with a strap I needed to order with a short strap (IWC, JLC, etc.). Is the face of the ROO too big for my wrist even with the shorter strap?Does anyone know the approximate price on the new RC? Sellers on here are selling the older model for about $15,000. What should I expect for the new model? I called APNYC today to find out but couldn't get though. I'll stop by on Friday (probably) and try it on to see for myself. Pictures to come!
Daytona 116509 WG vs AP ROO Steel
Good day TRF,I am posting this inquiry in the PAM forum to eliminate any bias response. I am eyeing both of these beautiful watches to add to my collection, Rolex Daytona WG 116509 Racing dial or AP ROO 44mm Panda dial steel. Both are similar in price points. My humble collection consist of a few Rolex (Daytona SS, YM and SubC) PAM (557 and 425)and an IWC BP. If I pick the Daytona WG Racing dial, I have to let go of my Daytona SS. If I end up with the AP ROO, I may let go of the YM. What are your thoughts between the two heavyweights? I value your opinion and would really appreciate your expert response. Thanks TRF.
New Blue DateJust 36mm
Hi guys!I wanted to buy 116234 with silver face but while traveling I got an absolute killer offer on a blue one! 22% off the price tag. Here's the beauty Pulled the trigger.I'm still pondering was it the right decision.I was also told that for 500 I can get the dial replaced at Rolex no problem. I would have two dials and still pay less than what I was offered on high street. What are your thoughts buddy's? Who prefers the blue or the silver!
