Movement in ROO Diver - All the Same?
I'm new here and lusting after my first AP. I am interested in a Diver and curious to know if the movement in the earlier version 15703ST.OO.A002CA.01 CIRCA 2014 would have the same exact movement as the new 2017 version with the 18K Gold rotor. I'm asking this not only to know positively, but because I also was curious if it's possible to upgrade the earlier version to the Sapphire Exposition back? Is so, does anyone know approx how much this would cost and would AP Service perform this service? Thank you in advance!
ROO Durability... In the "trenches"
Hey Guys,I recently purchased my first AP. It's the grey themes ROO in titanium on a titanium bracelet. I normally wear my other pieces (Panerai/Rolex/Ulysee/GP) to work (physical job) and night out (ie.Vegas/Miami/etc) without worrying if it gets scratched. My PAM actually looks like it came from pre 1950 ( I kinda like it like that/with some good patina). Wondering about how the AP will hold up? I think my PAM looks great the way it is but not sure if the AP will look good scratched up. The AP looks so great the way the bezel and case play off each other right now and don't want to ruin that. I like using my toys and wondering if others wear their watches the way I do. Thanks Guys P.S. would really appreciate if anyone would be willing to share pics of their pieces.
Back to Omega
Last year after selling my 114060 I purchased a PO 8500 42mm. Great watch but could not get a great fit. Purchased the adjustable clasp and installed. Got a great fit but could not deal with the weight and hight. Sold the PO and purchased a 116610LN. Wore that for a year but always found it a bit boring, found myself looking at the Omega again. While in the Bahamas I visited the Omega AD. They had the PO 8800 39.5 in stock. I was amazed how much better it felt on the wrist. Got back to the states and purchased it from DavidSW. I could not be happier. The 39.5mm is in my opinion the perfect size.
Independent watchmakers and Omega
I have been told that Omega will sell parts , unlike Rolex, to independent watchmakers. Can anyone confirm that?
