It ain't much, but Rolex has produced a teaser video to get people excited about its new watch releases for 2014. Rolex is a bit special in how they debut their new watches and experiencing it is a sort of annual Baselworld rite of passage.Many of you know this, but for those who don't know Rolex's little ritual we will explain. First of all, as far as we know, Rolex is the only brand to debut their new watches in this way. Rolex literally unveils the new watches. There are windows around the entire Rolex booth, and in the display case windows are many existing Rolex watches as well as the new ones. Birth year speedy
So, I just ran into a random guy while I was out tonight. After a few drinks and shared experiences, he told he me he has a speedmaster and not only that, it is my birth year speedy and a full set. I did get his contact info and I'm hoping I may make a deal with him soon as he is not that attached to it and has upcoming daughter engagements. No pics at this time, I just wanted to share the excitement for me. I'm hoping it might make out in my favor :)

Patek 5726A or FP Journe Chronometre Bleu
As the title suggest, I will be getting one of these two watches tomorrow, and would appreciate any input on which would be the better purchase.On one hand, the Patek is a brand with a well known and great history, and is definitely a known quantity. It is, however, more commonplace.The Journe is much less well known, and though it has a shorter history, I believe it exudes prestige in a different way. It also has the added benefit of being rare and uncommon.Price is not part of the consideration, as I am concerned mainly about things such as value retention, design, how it compliments my collection, and brand prestige/perception.My current collection includes two AP ROOs (elephant and navy), a rollie sub date, and PAM 320.Thank you in advance for all your input!

Hi everyone! I am so excited about my UPS package that came in this morning! After a ton of searching and looking I finally found a Tudor BBN rose logo ETA!!! On leather!!!! I was also able to secure a great discount on a 126333 white stick dial. I always preffer the TS Route, but this time I must say that I had a wonderful experience at an AD. White glove service, and even ordered my TT DJ straight from switzerland so it was never touched by human hands before mine! All in all its a great day and a pleasure to share with my fellow TRFers.
