Smartwatch Showdown: Apple Watch vs. the Competition
We recently learned that the long-awaited Apple Watch will be available in April, at a starting price of $349. How does it stack up against existing smartwatches like the Samsung Gear S, Motorola Moto 360, LG G Watch R, and Pebble Steel? Let's take a look.Fit and DesignNo matter how functional, an unattractive product will not win broad consumer acceptance, and though aesthetics may be subjective, size is much less so. Most smartwatches launched to date have been either bland- looking, too large, or both. Apple clearly did its homework, offering its watch in two sizes familiar to watch lovers: 38 and 42 mm (all measurements in this section are in millimeters). The smaller version is the smallest smartwatch yet announced. The Pebble Steel measures a reasonable 46 x 34 x 10.5. The Moto 360 looks great, perhaps even better than the Apple Watch, but at 46 x 11.5, as one hands-on reviewer said, it's a pizza pie for the wrist. Patek Philippe Aquanaut 5167a vs 5164????
Hey GuysThese two references have been floating around my head for a little while and both have their own great qualities. I know which I am leaning towards but would love to see what the TRF consensus is Also feel free to post your pics of your 5167s and 5164 on tropical straps :smoking: (pic from Hodinkee)
What is your perfect pair!
Hi folks I've recently decided that 36mm is my sweet spot especially because I have puny sized wrist, so I've been downsizing my collection and have flipped or sold my 40mm Rolex's in my humble collection, so now I think I've got my perfect pair.Just curious to know if others on here have a perfect pair and would like to share!Ken Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Bhindi Jewelers @ Glendale Galleria, SoCal
Although they didn't have any Basel steel, they had a ND Submariner, every Milgauss varietal, two DeepSea SDs, a bunch of SS and TT DJ41s and some of my personal favorites in the running for WATCH Number TWWWOOOOO... Naturally his salesmanship crept around spouting about, buy now before the price increases. But I'll see him soon enough, anyway. These were absolute STUNNERS in the skin. The RG is not loud as you would think for a gold watch; and I LOVE the weight. I am also a fan of the WG DD with the blue dial; but I already have a white metal covered.. and oooohhh man that Daytona blue was tempting.I might add they had a champagne w/diamond OF Daytona as well.
