Jaquet Droz Quantieme Perpetuel Calendar Watch Available On James List
Discussing Jaquet Droz watches in the US is almost futile. It isn't that you can't find this small Swatch Group brand in the US, but rather that it is extremely rare. I saw my first one in Europe personally. I've always liked this brand but haven't known what to make of it. A lot of their designs are good, but currently they lack direction and leadership as far as I can tell. The last time the brand was really on my radar in any serious way was when Manuel Emch (current CEO of Romain Jerome) was the head honcho over there. This Jaquet Droz watch from a few years ago is a great example of what the brand is capable of in terms of design. This specific model is itself extremely rare said to have been made as a limited edition of just 8 pieces. 8 being an important number and symbol for the brand as it is a good luck number in Asia (where a lot of Jaquet Droz pieces are apparently sold). This model is the Quantieme Perpetuel Calendar watch in 18k rose gold. There was another version that wa

Thinking of trading BLNR for Elephant or 26400SO
Hey all, I am looking for opinions on this swap. I have a NIB BLNR and am thinking of swapping it for one of the above. I had planned to just add one of the above but also have a HULK which kind of fills my SS Rolex.Only thing is I can not seem to find a 44mm ROO locally to try on so I would be taking a big leap on that one. Downside to the Elephant is the SS bezel. I have OCD issues, so the thought of that getting scratched up makes me nervous to go that route. :)I was originally wanting to go with a 15300 or 15202 but I think I would like something a bit more bold.Any thoughts?ThanksD
A little help with Omega 3513

Why get enamel dial?
In considering 5116 vs 5119, I find myself wondering, why bother?Yes, I know enamel dials are labor intensive, explaining the added cost, but why should I care? I've read about finding 2526s with enamel dials that are cracked, while ones with pristine enamel dials are very valuable, but if they crack so easily, what's the fuss about, besides making vintage collector's happy when they find a well preserved one because they are rare?
