Ralph Lauren Automotive Chronograph Watch For SIHH 2015
It sure raised some eyebrows when, in 2009, luxury fashion brand?Ralph Lauren announced that it was?entering the high-end watch scene in a collaboration with industry giant luxury group Richemont. While?there are?numerous?essential?factors that are shared between top fashion and fine watchmaking C following and shaping trends, quality, and consistency in?styling being some of them C we watch enthusiasts like to believe that?the complex?(and ever-changing) recipe to a successful watch brand?is difficult to get right even for those who have been in the business for decades C let alone for new-comers.With the Ralph Lauren Automotive Chronograph, the brand nonetheless surges on, blending?the?trademark design elements of its "Sporting" collection with inspiration from an 1938 Bugatti's dashboard C spiced up with the technical prowess of a movement sourced from Jaeger-LeCoultre.Ralph Lauren has managed to stay consistent with its Sporting collection's designs over the past couple of years C

Please welcome the newest member of the family...
It finally arrived, and it will be leaving for the spa next week. So I wanted to share a quick and dirty iPhone pic with all of you! So without further adieu, here is the 5970P:
Just one more?
Greeting fellow enablers. Been a member for about a year and have truly enjoyed the camaraderie and the wealth of knowledge that has helped guide me. Recently was gifted a DJ II I have been after for a few years and was pleasantly surprised by my wife with that very model for our 24th anniversary. It's stunning and everything I thought it would be for my first Rolex.I have some very capable ponies in the stable in the form of a Ball NEDU, Ball 60 Seconds II, and a lovely Ball Marvelight. The new Datejust fits right in the rotation nicely but I find myself cautious about its durability, probably because it's just so gorgeous! My Ball NEDU gets the most wrist time as my daily driver. No worries about it's ability to stand up to my day to day activities. My question is this, any issues with maybe adding a SubC Date to round out the stable? Durable? Check. Iconic? Check. Fits my wrist and looks great? Check. Not really looking to have a world class collection, just trying to get to a 4-5 wat
Is ladies Datejust 36 SS a "sought after" model?
Sorry, I am a newb to Rolexes (I am into other vices :-)). My wife really likes a specific Datejust 36 (model m116200-0070) and as I am doing research, I am seeing that ADs don't really discount sought after models. Before I waste time trying to find AD, who will give me better than MSRP, should I either bother with this watch, or just walk into store in NH (where there is no tax, like in MA) and just get it there? Not looking 2nd hand, since well, my wifey is not interested.
