Panerai 8-Day Power Reserve Caliber P.5000 Debuts in New Luminor Watches
Officine Panerai’s rapid rise to manufacture status continues with its release of yet another in-house movement, Calibre P.5000, a manual-wound movement with an eight-day power reserve. The new caliber makes its debut in a pair of new watches, the Luminor Marina 8 Days and Luminor Marina 8 Days Oro Rosso. While an eight-day power reserve is rare in wristwatches these days, it has been a part of Panerai’s history: the first watches that the brand created for Italian naval commandos had an eight-day power reserve, a requirement at the time for a unit that needed its timepieces to run reliably for long military operations. So ROC or ROO
So as when I was pretty sure I'm getting my greytheme roo I went to the AD and happen to see this ROC it was stunning. It is different to the roo definitely but price wise I'm offered a similar price (almost the same) I like the Roo a bit more but the bracelet on the roc got me thinking about getting a bit more bang for the buck and wondering if the roc would hold it value better? I will make only ONE puchase this year, and i had first in mind to buy AP bumble bee, which i have been thinking of for two years..but then i came a cross a RO PC (with leap year indicator) Now, i have some mad problems if i shall buy the PC or stick to the BB. I have a ROC panda today along with a white face ROO RC.SO I'm really familiar with the fitting, and imo have the ROC one of the best fitting for my wrist. So horological friends. What would you choose? I need advices..
Patek discounts?
Just curious as to what kind of a discount one can usually expect on a Patek? I have heard their margins are higher than Rolex, does that mean a higher discount typically? Of course, I know a few of their models are impossible to get, I'm just referring to easy to buy off the floor models.
