Basel Preview: Blancpain Half Time Zone Watch
Blancpain previews its first Villeret Demi-Fuseau Horaire: a travel watch that allows the second time zone to be set in half-hour increments. We are all familiar with the standard 24 time zones that differ by one hour, but many countries, including India, Australia and Canada also use half-hour or “offset” time zones. Find specs and wallpaper for this new model from Blancpain inside. Blancpain’s new dual time zone model is very user friendly. A few turns of the crown adjusts the date, reference or home time, and second time zone. A co-axial pusher on the crown selects fast adjustment or half time zone mode. Correcting the home time automatically adjusts the second time zone. This watch is powered by a new 32mm automatic caliber 5254DF with 321 parts, 28 jewels, and a 72 hour power reserve. The reference time is displayed at 12 o’clock and the half time zone and seconds are displayed in the center. the day-night indicator for the reference time is displayed at 9 o

Even a blind hog will root up an acorn occasionally
That was my dad's favorite saying when he lucked into something good. And that was my feeling when I captured this photo of my 2255.80:This morning, I was taking some lume shots of the PloProf. The bezel lume is fascinating to me and I started with this full dark photo:Then I allowed some light to capture some more watch detail:While examining this photo, I happened to click onOne Step Photo Fix and the lume really popped out of the watch:I'm admittedly not a great photographer like so many of you, especially my friend Bill (gaopa), but this one really spoke to me, another acorn if you will. How about sharing your acorns.Fr. Submariner Parts Compatibility
Greetings TRF! I am in the market for my first Rolex watch I have always wanted a TT Submariner. I also am far more attracted to Submariners with no date. Sadly, I don't beileve Rolex makes a TT Submariner no date.My new thought is to buy a Submariner 14060 and swap out the bezel, dial, insert, crown and handset for those same 18k yellow gold parts from a Submariner 16803, 16808, 16613, or any other TT (yellow gold) Rolex Submariner. I have a couple questions regarding this and I hope you nice folks on TRF can point me in the right direction.Question 1: Does Rolex make a TT Submariner no date?Question 2: Are those parts on a Sub 16803, 16808, 16613, or any other TT Sub going to compatible with the parts on a Sub 14060?Thanks in advance for all your help TRF!- AlLos Angeles, California
