TAG Heuer Carrera Heritage Collection
In 1963 Jack Heuer started work on a new chronograph designed for drivers and motor-racing enthusiasts. A life-long fan of the sport himself, he knew what it was needed: a wide-open, easy-to-read dial and a shock-resistant and waterproof case tough enough for road wear. The following year he launched the result, a mechanical, manual-wound chronograph called the Carrera. The name derives from Carrera Pan Americana, a five-day, 2,100 mile race across Mexico. The most prestigious – and dangerous – endurance race of its day. Carerra in Spanish means competition of the highest order . The new chronograph was a great success and was worn by every Ferrari Scuderia driver, including Carlos Reutemann, Clay Regazzoni, Jacky Ickx, Niki Lauda, Mario Andretti, Gilles Villeneuve and Jody Scheckter. This year, TAG Heuer launches the Carrera Heritage Collection, a time and date watch and a chronograph with classic looks rooted in the Carrera legacy. Over 1000 aBlogtoRead.com Articles - Well-Earned
I like to post about these milestones -they feel important to me. I've written over 1000 aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer articles. And I must remind myself that I also regularly write for a few other sites such as Luxistwatches-dealer, AskMenwatches-dealer, and more (see all my current work on the About page here). So the total watch articles I have written since starting in late 2007, is over 2000. But aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer being my own place, I think 1000 here is still pretty impressive. I wonder if I put it all in a single book, how many pages it would be? I think we are talking more than War & Peace here. In this time of reflection I feel as though I have only scratched the surface of my passion for watches and entrance into the watch industry. Last month at exclusive invite-only SIHH in Geneva, I felt as though the occasion was my symbolic "true entrance" into the watch industry. While most of the commenting readers on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer are watch enthusiasts, I learned th
changing my strap
Hey allbeen loving my new elephant and ordered the rubber strap from AP service center. I am having a minor issue I have put the strap on the watch but the buckle that came with the hornback doesn't seem to be wide enough to go around the outside diameter of the new rubber strap and the springbar isn't wide enough to fit through the rubber it is completely hidden.Am I missing something or do I need to order a different AP buckle as well as the strap?picture below.
Joining AP Club
Looking at joining the AP club.watchguru/WatchFiend/...-Reserve/13025Found this over at watch guru wanted to know if it was priced well as some of Tom's pieces can be slightly more. Haven't been able to find another one around so not much to compare.

Hey guys, here is the thing.. I've been eyeing the 5980ss in a long while, I am very excited finally being able to nail this piece in Asia and i have prepaid the watch and planning on flying out to pick it up myself. In the meantime, i have to unload a piece in order to make the wife feel better lol..Anyway i have been thinking of parting with my 5 month old rolex 116718 GMT, however i do have a soft spot for this watch, don't know if i should put it for sale or just keep it. input will be appreciatedHere are couple snaps of my friend trying on the 5980ss for me since we have similar wrist size.. followed by some pics of the YG gmt.
