New AP owner. Joined the Club :)
Been a long time owner of Rolex watches and just finally took the plunge and purchased my first AP. I went with the Royal Oak Offshore Diver. I'm very happy with it so far! It's comfortable and looks amazing on my wrist. Just a quick thank you to this forum which has provided tons of information and advice. I'm looking forward to contributing on my experience.

Rolex Service Center Replace Dial on Sub 168000
I sent my Rolex Sub 168000 which I bought in 1987 to RSC NY for service and they told me that they will have to replace the dial & hands as required part of service. My old dial tridium has been flaking and it is affecting the watch function. The new dial & hands will cost over $550 plus service of $700 including taxes total of $1,500. I ask Rolex if I can keep my old dial. They told me that I will have to pay additional $300 bucks to keep the old dial. I was surprised because of this extra charge of $300 just to keep my old dial. Is keeping my old dial worth it even paying extra for it? Does anyone in the forum have the same experience? I need your advice.
Opinions on my Christmas present.
So this week I will be going to pick out a new watch to add to my collection. I currently have a Pepsi gmt master and am looking for something that I can dress up but that can also be worn everyday. My initial thought was a date just 41 in blue or white with domed bezel (undecided on bracelet) or a white Buckley dial. I also have a soft spot for a reverso but I think this might be too dressy for what I'm looking for. I have sold off everything and am committed to having a two watch rotation until my kids stop costing me a fortune. I know the decisions lies with me yadda yadda...But I love hearing the opinions of this great community. Makes me think about things I didn't consider. Merry Christmas to those who celebrate.
