Breitling Barnato 42 Midnight Carbon Watch
While I am generally a big fan of Breitling watches, I don't personally like a lot of the Breitling for Bentley timepieces. These have a distinct design ethos apart from the rest of the Breitling range. I like the concept, but many of the pieces have a design that does not speak to me. Having said that, I really like this new limited edition Breitling for Bentley Barnato 42 Midnight Carbon watch with its good size and restrained look compared to its siblings. The largest watches Breitling makes are probably in the Brietling for Bentley collection. If you are familiar with my work then you know I like large watches - but many of those watches are just too big for me. You really need to be one of the world's biggest-wristed men to pull some of those off. This new watch is a more narrow 42mm wide. It will actually wear larger due to the very wide lug structures. This new 42mm size in the Barnato collection is a welcome addition in my opinion.Breitling fans know that this is not at all the
Popular Watchmakers Sign New Book At Basel
If you are one of the lucky people who is going to be at Basel, you can join me and many others, at the book signing of the new book on watch makers, "12 Faces Of Time." The special event will see some of today's best watch makers together. The book features and profiles them, discussing them and their work. While each of the watch makers is different, they are each easily in the genius category. This is probably one of your only chances to see them all together. Watch makers aren't know to be the most social people, but ask them the right questions, and they open up like a crack in the Hoover Dam. Watch makers are also known to sometimes be notoriously competitive, so I wonder if a "best watch maker" fight will ensue. "5 Microns?!! PsssshhhTry 4 Microns!" That would certainly be cause for attendance. I can just see them signing my book with ever larger signatures trying to one up each other.Among the watch makers attending there is no one or two headliners, each of these guys is amazi
AP Dual Time Question
Hello Guys...I went to look at this AP Dual Time today... beautiful watch! However, the AD told me that they stopped making this watch now and its the last one they have in the shop!Anyone confirm this? Also I called to check about a 1.5 link and the Service Center was not helpful at all. They told me that I had to send the watch into there service centre via the AD and then they will check out the watch and then let me know if a 1.5 link is available for this watch! Sound a bit much just for a simple link no?
Picked up my first Breitling
Hey all. I've been reading these forums for a while. I picked up my first high end watch. This beautiful Breitling Chronomat 41 ImageUploadedByTapatalk1411756141.902104.jpgLoving every moment of it!
Possible first?!?!?
Quite honestly, I never even considered this brand to add to my collection. While I've stared at pics on this forum and have always thought they were eye catching when seeing them in the wild, it never occurred to me to try them on...always thought they were too big for my wrists that were used to 40mm watches. Then I tried this on one...Definitely larger than what I'm used to but somehow it works! Even tried on some other 42mm refs but it just didn't have that decidedly Panerai look and feel. Will need to try on the PAM510 and the PAM572 but this 560 is really calling out to me - clean & undeniably Panerai. Enabling pics and words of encouragement welcomed!
