15300/15400 Silver or Blue Dial
Hi everyone, I've finally been bitten by the AP bug and have decided to pick up either a 15300 or 15400. I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death but I'm torn between dial colors, either silver or blue. I'm leaning towards the blue but I'm beginning to like the silver more and more. Part of me feels that the silver dial may be a little too dressy though. Might be nice to finally have a white, dial in my collection. Also keep in mind that this will most likely be my only AP. Anyways, I'm just curious as to which you chose and why. Wrist shots and any opinions would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
Incoming from the other side of the ocean...
Too bad it's not a new watch hahaI'm on a business trip to Taipei and China and first day of arrival i dropped in AP Boutique at Taipei 101 looking for a short rubber strap for my 44mm FC. To my surprised, the rep told me they have in stock a short gator strap for GP (like Eddie Choi). Couldn't resit so i bought it on the spot. Check it out... this strap wears like a dream. very comfortable and easy to change size in this horrible humid environment. So which one you guys like better? Rubber or Gator? Another surprised is next week AP will hold an exhibition in Taipei 101 to showcase all of their new models. Will definitely post more images next week...Here are two new models that i tried on... The orange on the diver is actually really nice in person for those who's considering it.The 44mm ceramic was one of the model i was considering when purchasing the 44mm FC. After seeing it in person, i am extremely happy i went with the FC.
Sourcing...
If anyone knows how to source a 3569.31 Apollo 11, please PM me.Thanks!
SD43 vs Black Bay comparison pics
In response to a forum member on another thread, I took a couple quick photos of my Sea Dweller 43mm vs the Black Bay 41 Blue.Really interesting to me how the Black Bay is sort of slotted in between the Sea Dweller and Submariner in terms of size. The Black Bay has the same lug-to-lug dimensions (50mm) and bracelet width (22mm) as the Sea Dweller, yet has similar thickness (<13mm) and diameter as the Submariner (41mm vs 40mm). Definitely sits on the wrist much differently than the SD43, much flatter since the case back is nearly flat. Just some random observations. I'm loving the idea of having both more and more. Totally different watches even with some of the similarities.
