AP ROC back from its Virgin Europe Trip
I was on a business trip to Europe for two weeks in September. Besides attending one of the biggest rail trade fair, Innotrans 2012, in Berlin, I also visited Munich and London. Works aside, the trip would not be completed without some sightseeing, as well as a once-in-a-lifetime experience to the Oktoberfest at its place of origin in Bavaria of Germany. With so many actions happening during the trip, I'm really pleased to say that my ROC, the only watch I brought along with me, has weathered extremely well as a competent and enjoyable travel companion. ================================================== =====================================A short review, or rather a sharing of impression, of my ROC 26300 White dial... It is fantastic and extremely enjoyable to wear! After owning it for two months, with an intensive traveling in Europe, I must say that the silvery dial, the masculine lines and the multitude of finely brushed and polished surfaces on the chronograph case and bracelet h

Parsing perpetual practicality
So folks, I'm within a hair's breadth of pulling the trigger on a Patek 5159r, the ALS Langematic Perpetual, or maybe the JLC MUT Perpetual. But I think I've landed on the 5159. Although I've collected nice timepieces for years, this will be my first perpetual. My question isn't really a help me choose query...instead more one of practicality. I travel internationally quite a bit, requiring frequent adjustment of my watch to local time. My go-to travel beater has historically been a 116710 on a Sub bracelet. But I'd like to start traveling with the new perpetual. Hence my question: how do you handle multi-timezone travel with a perpetual calendar watch? Forward and backward? Or do you just leave it at home on the winder?Thanks,RichP.S. I understand that Blancpain has an Annual Calendar that can be set backwards across date transitions...( .blancpain/en/news/vil...eme-annuel-gmt )...interesting.
Which would you take to Vegas?
Hello TRF! Let me start by saying I recognize BOTH of these watches will work perfectly for the vacation I'm about to take. That said, I've decided to take only one. So with that in mind I would like your thoughts about which to bring along on the journey....Before I tell you which 2 watches I'd like you pick of, let me tell you about the vacation. It's basically a few days in Vegas doing the usual touristy stuff, some casino time, and relaxing by the pool. No clubbing or elegant evenings out. Very low-key. Then headed to Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon for some outdoor adventure. It should be a great time and I am really looking forward to getting away. Now for your choices.......#1) Rolex Submariner date#2). Omega SeaMaster Planet Ocean in titaniumOnce again, there really isn't a wrong answer here. But I am on the fence deciding between the two but only want to bring one. So whichever gets the most votes gets to join me on the trip. Thanks in advance for your thoughts an
