Swatch Group Terminates Partnership With Tiffany & Co. Citing Material Breach of Contract
Swatch Group announced today that it has terminated its cooperation contracts with Tiffany & Co. According to Swatch Group, “This action became necessary following Tiffany & Co's systematic efforts to block and delay development of the business.” Within the framework of a long-term partnership agreement, Swatch Group founded Tiffany Watch Co. Ltd. in Spring 2008. The new company was responsible for the development, production and distribution of “Tiffany & Co.” branded watches. Worldwide sales were handled through points of sale operated by Tiffany & Co., by The Swatch Group Ltd. and by independent retailers.Swatch Group said Tiffany Watch Co. Ltd. will be permitted to wind down current business over the course of two years following effective termination of the cooperation contracts.Swatch Group stated that it and Tiffany Watch Co. Visit with Fr. John
My wife and I had a chance to visit Fr. John and his lovely wife today in their home. I'm pleased to report that he is in good spirits and getting around his home well in a wheel chair. He said that it will be several more months before he is fully vertical (his humor) , but he said he is healing nicely. As Fr. John is a friend to so many here on the forum I wanted to pass on the good report. Cheers, Bill P.
Which chrono?
Hi everyone, Which chronograph do you personally prefer? Thanks!
16622 vs 116622 in Photographs
The YM was almost never on my radar. Not only due to its price but also because I never warmed up to polished center links and to be honest, like many others, I felt it was a bit too monochromatic and a bit... well... boring.About 6 weeks ago, a very kind forum member (different forum) shipped me his 16622 to try.I fell in love with it almost instantly and I knew I had to have one. (don't you hate it when that happens?)Anyway, since I currently have both the 16622 and 116622 in my possession, I thought it would be a good idea to do a side by side photo comparison. While the YM was the model to introduce many new features to the Rolex Professional line up, it seemed to have been largely forgotten over the years and continue to soldier on largely unchanged. The 116622 introduced some minor changes, with the most important one of all being (of course) the updated clasp with Easy Link. This will just focus on external differences as I am not anywhere near knowledgeable enough to comment on wha
SubC to SD43 back to SubC
So my journey started with the SubC for a few weeks last year, Basel 2017 hit and the SD43 releases, I called my AD and I was first on the list. Sold the SubC and waited for the SD43. I should have kept the subC to compare but I couldn’t afford It at the time. When it arrived in June 2017 I was in love, the 22mm bracelet the case size ect. Wrist presents is there, the bling and all. Well with my 6.75 wrist size I nearly pulled it off and I did, i wore a 44mm Luminox for work so the big 43mm was normal for me. What got me turned off about the SD43 was the thickness and weight. I probably wouldn’t venture into PM if the weight already an issue. I had to wear the watch a lil snug so the watch head won't flop around, I wear my watches all day and I also go to sleep with it on, waking up with a tight watch on the wrist is not comfortable. Being 43mm and 15mm tall, it got in way at times. I had to be extra careful not to bang it getting out my car and avoiding door
