Pre-Basel: Omega Constellation Star
A bright new star in Omega’s Constellation family is the Co-Axial 27 mm, for women who appreciate fine mechanical movements. The brushed case with polished claws is crafted from 18k red or yellow gold. The matching bracelet has brushed links and polished bars set with 144 full-cut diamonds totaling 0.54 carat. The bezel is paved with 32 full-cut diamonds with a total weight of 0.50 carat. The screw-in caseback features a sapphire crystal that reveals the Co-Axial movement inside. The mother-of-pearl dial is completed with a constellation of applied 18k red gold stars, some that are raised and others with a recessed profile. There is a trapezoidal date window at 3 o’clock. The polished and faceted 18k gold hour and minute hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova, making them easy to read even in limited lighting conditions. The Co-Axial movement at the heart of the Constellation is equipped with Omega’s Si 14 silicon balance spring. The dimensions of the movement have
Customized And Personalized Watches Made To Order At 121time.com: Cool In Concept And Execution
While there are a number of watch personalizers out there, most of them sacrifice quality for flexibility. Most of those corporate branded watches with a logo on the face, or engraving on the back are usually barely worth wearing, and novelty gifts at best. But it does not have to be that way. It is possible to actually want to wear those watches!I recently discovered 121timewatches-dealer and have to say that I am impressed not only with the selection and customization options, but also with the tools used to build your custom watch. In essence they have a large number of watches, with various styles and details that can be manipulated. You start with a base movement and case, and have flexibility with faces, hands, bezels, straps, and tons of color options. After you finish getting the look you prefer, you can then add a number of personalization options on the face and case back (depending on the watch). If the watch is a chronograph, you might not have room to add a message or logo
Latest from Jim at Continental
Talked with Jim today and his health is slowly improving. He begins more therapy on the 24th but is living without the back brace for now.Business-wise, he has to vacate his retail space the end of April. He thanks everyone for helping clear out his inventory. He has sent me a list if what he has left. If you would like a copy, send me a PM with your email address.
Planet ocean bezel flimsy?
Wondering if any of you 42mm owners have this problem. When you align the bezel at 12 position, press down at 1 o'clock, is there any play in the bezel moving up and down, it feels like it is flimsy, you can hear it squeaking. Wonder if this is normal or not.Just purchased a new planet ocean old series before the price increase, loving it so far except for the play in my bezel, will try to post pics, thx.
Greetings folks! Worth snagging this 96?
Hello there! I generally collect Rolex but I have a friend of mine offering a Patek ref. 96 black dialed with sub at 6 watch.I can snap pics next week if that helps. It seems like the dial as some wear/spotting but slight and the metal looks tarnished a tad.He is a very active vintage collector and he is offering me the watch for 3,000.I feel like this is a good investment piece/an important watch in the history of Patek.I am not sure how rare they are or if 3k for the slight wear is worth it? It looks like online they sell for 5-7k gold faced variants. One thing I did notice is that the crown was replaced, it looked like it fit OK but was obviously replaced along the way. The watch appears ot be 18k yellow gold. Any insight? The movement seemed to match what I saw online and was clean. The watch was running fine. I am attracted to Patek, more so as of late so perhaps this is a good segue into it? I know the gentleman really well so that helps. Thanks for any insight you can offer me. I
