I am in the market for a blue dial watch. Have been looking at omega, IWC but the new 688 has also caught my eye. I am not that keen though on the band, prefer a black band. Two topics of discussion:1. I live in the PNW. Is it just me or is the 116610LN Andy the 116610LV sold out at just about every AD? Is this the case around the country and where they are available are they marked up or still MSRP?2. My local AD referenced that something with the SubC may be revealed at Basel in a few weeks. Any truth to this? If it's a new color option or something minor, I think I'll pass. If it's a redesign, well, maybe that's worth waiting for.
Finally Joined the Rolex Family (via Tudor)
After 15 years of watch collecting I'm the closest I've ever been to owning a Rolex, which is to say I just received my Tudor 76200 Date+Day. Big Hat Tip to Adam in Hong Kong for cluing me in that these are still being sold brand new in some Asian Markets.It's everything I never thought I could find: A brand new 40 year old Rolex. Hold Over Watch
So I sold my sub to fund some business purchase stuff, right now I'm wearing my square casio but am thinking I need a hold over watch for around 2K, thoughts? Next watch will be green face, white gold DD, the anniversary and will most likely be my only watch. I am self employed and no one ever notices nor do I care so the purchase is just for me.
