Watches NEWS
Beware: Professionally faked sticker in a authentic warrantybook AP
Hello everybody,I was looking for a Rubberclad H-series in steel for some time. Came past one at Chrono24. Did contact the seller because the watch was a H serial(new type dial, the one I was looking for) with the serialnumber starting with a H (ofcourse). I did ask for a picture of the certificate/warrantybook with the numbers readable. The watch was dates 2008 . Asked the seller (store) how that's possible, seller responded that it is normal that a H series is dated 2008. He had sold a lot of H-series dated 2008-2009. I did't trust that so I did check the combination of warranty and casenumber on the Audemars Piguet website on the extend the warranty section . This works well if you want to check if the combination of the numbers in de books is OK. I first did check it out on a few other watches. If you try to extend the warranty of a watch with legit numbers the website says the warranty is already extended til xxxx OR if the previous owners never had extended the warranty:

What is the story or relationship between Tiffany and Patek?
Can anyone tell me what is the direct relationship between Tiffany and Patek? Are the ones that have Tiffany letters more collectible than the standard Patek version?Thank you
I for one am hoping for a sub redesign...
.... at Basel 2019 or perhaps 2020. Slimmer lugs, thinner case and new movement please - that would be the cherry on top. I've owned 4 maxi case references, including PM, and all of them were flipped at some point PURELY due to how the square case looked on my 7 wrist. It always just looked like the watch was wearing me, as opposed to me wearing the watch. And it was frustrating to finally realise it, since they're all great watches. For now DJ41 and a soon to be added Tudor Blackbay 58 will keep me satisfied. Anyone else wishing for newer Rolex sport watches closer in dimensions to the 5-digit references of yesteryear? Rolex's card validation process
Take my words with a grain of salt, but I got a glimpse of the Rolex card validation process today. The AD ran the warranty card through the regular credit card machine and made a charge of $10.00 to the card. The card slip came out as Approved, and the card type was actually indicated as a Mastercard, which seems to make sense, as the card number (on the back right edge) begins with 549728, which corresponds with a Mastercard Bank ID Number:https://iin-bin/bin/549728.htmlSo it seems that the Rolex Warranty Card is secretly some kind of Mastercard underneath! Not sure if this is well known knowledge (I haven't seen it around before), but I thought it was pretty cool!
