Resident Evil Watches By GSX
Once again proof that Japan gets much cooler stuff than we do here in the West. I still wonder why that is, and the best reason I can come up with is that collector types in Japan are willing to spend more in items such as these Resident Evil themed timepieces. In the 1990s Capcom (a video game developer) first released their landmark series of video games called Resident Evil, though in Japan it was called Biohazard (and sometimes Resident Evil: Biohazard).I played the first Resident Evil game on the first Playstation when I was a teenager. Since then I tried to play as many of the major games as possible. These innovative survival horror games put you in a dark world with a very elaborate set of storiesand zombies. You mostly played as a character who was part of a SWAT team style organization called STARS. You went into investigate issues that often related to apocalyptic outbreaks, zombies, and just general weird stuff going on. The first game was set in a mansion, while subsequent
42mm bracelet
I've seen several variations of the deployant on the 42mm bracelet. Can someone post a photo of the current version? Is it the one with the two balls on each side of the deployant? I've also seen one with just one ball on one side? Also, does the bracelet have micro adjustment or half links? From the photos I've seen it looks like it has neither?
It was my destiny to own one...
Greetings TRF,I'll keep it short: ever since I bought, enjoyed and sold my SMP I must admit I had the feeling I would get another Omega in my collection someday! The watch I parted with, although I really liked it, wasn't quite meant for me anymore given the horological path I took with all those smaller and vintage watches and since I had other timepieces in mind when I sold it I cannot say it was something I didn't think about or that I really regret, however, the whole experience did make me like the brand even more since I now know that its watches, the vintage as well as the new ones, are as tough, reliable and overall amazing as they're beautiful!I must admit I kept an eye open for a model that I would be able to enjoy to the fullest but I cannot say I had the intention of adding anything to my collection since I purchased a few watches not so long ago. How did that happen? I can barely explain it myself but I can definitely get to this conclusion: it was my destiny to own one...
5164 and 5130 with rubber strap
For a while i have been thinking to replace the leather strap on m y 5130P with rubber strap, reason being is that i don't wear leather strap often nowadays and i enjoy wearing the watches in rubber or bracelet the most due to comfortability. Lately i managed to find a good rubber strap for 5130P and i am not sure if it looks okay from your view? What do you think? The blue color rubber strap matchs with the blue dial of 5130P quite nice, at least in my opinion. I have snapped a side by side picture together with the 5164A with tropical strap for comparison (apologise for the poor quality pictures, i snapped them with my mobile phone, hope you all dont mind) Look forward to hear your opinion.
