Bell & Ross WW1 & PW1 Argentium Watches
The last major Bell & Ross watch that we haven't covered yet for 2012 is the WW1 and PW1 Argentium collection. I believe Bell & Ross CEO Mr. Carlos Rosillo himself was wearing a WW1 Argentium watch when I checked out this collection among other Bell & Ross pieces. For me, this is one of the most curious models. While not limited in production, it is a very niche timepiece. It will no doubt be selectively produced and offered in limited locations. A very interesting watch that is still very much a Bell & Ross. What is Argentium you ask? It is a trademarked name for a special modern version of sterling silver. The name comes from "argent" which among other things, is the French term for silver. Argentium is a relatively recent version of sterling silver from the 1990s. Its most notable property is being highly tarnish resistant. Traditional silver tarnishes and must be polished frequently. For this reason I believe silver is quite rarely used for watch cases. Temption CM05 Watch
I have a really strong affinity to the small, independent German watch maker Temption. I have two of their watches, the CGK203 and the Cameo (click on those links for my reviews). Each year they try to release a new model, and I eager await what they have to share. Last year it was the beautiful Cameo, and this year is the CM05. While the Cameo was a totally new design for the brand, the CMO5 is more of an evolution on their classic look. Emphasis here is on build quality, and the simple design aesthetic that made the Cameo as popular as it was.Temption is proud that the CM05 is totally screwed together. There are no rivets, studs, or pressed points (though the sapphire crystal might be an exception). As such, you can see the screws in the caseback and all over the bracelet. The case itself is in high-grade steel and 42mm wide and 11mm tall (very wearable). The case is 100 meters water resistant as well. The sapphire crystal is 2.6mm thick and domed for strength (also AR coated on the
there is a special range of diamonds that shapes the iconic Montblanc emblem
Each model sharing in common is very decorated 18 k White Gold set with diamonds in the case including 42 on the bezel, and a mother of the mother-of-Pearl Dial. The automatic Star Lady diamond model has a look of dial cluster. In addition to the "Galaxy" of diamonds, there is a special range of diamonds that shapes the iconic Montblanc emblem. Then, the eternal star Lady Moonphase automatic diamonds is a more traditional use of diamonds used for indicators of an hour more and revolve around the dials.
Small wrist ~6 inches, 15300?
With all this enabling going on, I am headed no where fast. I mean seriously a drug habit would probably be cheaper....Just wondering for those with small wrists, how does the 15300st work for you guys?I have really small exactly 5.75 wrists, oval rather than flat top.For reference, I have a 14060m that I wear a little loose with all removable links removed. I have a luminor case 44mm Panerai that I wear thanks to an aftermarkt leather strap that barely works. Before I plunk down $10+ K, any input would be greatly appreciated. I know the diameter is 39mm, but it has long lugs and wears way bigger right?I live in a provincial part of the country. The nearest AD is in Dallas 5 hours away. So no way I can get away for the weekend to try one on.Thanks in advance....
5905P - too big or just right?
I officially blame Martin and his photos that made me fall in love with the 5905P. I was able to try one on at an AD today, however Im not really sure whether the 42mm case is too large for my small wrist. What do you think?
