Travel pouch similar to the PP service ones
My wife really likes the PP travel pouch I picked up at the Geneva Salon. The style of the soft pouch with the pillow inside works well for her watches on a leather strap. The question is if anyone knows where to get one in that style? Or who the supplier for the PP one is? I'm looking to pick up another for a newly incoming 3796R for her.I know you can find the PP ones on eBay, but the fact that a few sellers have a seemingly endless supply of them seems a bit fell off the back of the truck for me to want to buy from them.Any thoughts? Here's the travel pouch I'm referring to (found this picture online):
How to tell when it's time for service?
Hi Thanks for this forum, first post but I've learned a lot by lurking. I have my grandfathers 3445j and a new 5167. How do I tell when it's time for routine service? The last time I sent the 3445j, it took over 6 months even though there was nothing to repair. What's the rule of thumb? What should I be doing to responsibly care for these wonderful treasures? Thanks!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Is the new Pepsi dressier or sportier than the BLNR?
The jubilee bracelet is dressier, but the red adds sportiness. Thoughts?
Field watches
I֪ thinking about a field watch. On one hand, I love the new version of the explorer 1, but while I absolutely intend to get one someday, right now I֪ leaning towards sturdy and serviceable (and not super expensive). So, my top picks at the moment are the Tudor Ranger and a Sinn 856. I֪ torn and would love some advice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Date just for wife (AD discount?)
Hello everyone,First time poster... after dealing with me for 14 years and having 4 of my children I've decided I want to treat my wife to a nice watch. This is something she would never consider buying for herself or expect it but I know she will be thrilled and she deserves it. I've narrowed it down to a 36mm steel Datejust with a white Roman dial or the 36 Datejust with fluted bezel and diamond dial. I live in Chicago have have visited 2 ADs, one offered me no discount (I didn't push as I didn't like the salesperson) and the other offering 10-11%.I know I can get a better deal on here or grey dealer but I want this to be new so she could exchange if she wants to and she can go to the AD for fitting, sizing, extended warranty, cleaning, buffing, etc... what type of discount should I expect for these models? Im paying cash and both agreed to ship to my business out of state to save on taxes. Thanks in advance for the info!
