Watches NEWS
Ariel Adams' 10 Watches Recommended For Anyone
Watches I recommend for anyone to own? That sounds a bit presumptuous, right? Well, it is, but hear me out. In what might end up being a new series of articles here on watches-dealer, I'd like to share with our audience the timepieces that we as individual watch lovers and experts would recommend to any new or veteran collector. In fact, I would go so far as to say that no watch collection is truly complete without including most or all of these models. But let's face it, is any collection of anything ever really complete? Let's hope not.People ask me all the time what watches they should buy at all types of price points. This list of watches is meant to offer something for everyone, but at the same time, there is no watch on here - no matter how inexpensive or luxurious - that one collector cannot enjoy at the same time in the same collection. This list is also subjective and reflects my personal opinions. If you disagree, that's cool - it only means we have different tastes. All I ca
Great News on the Service of my 5402SA!!! Now in Le Brassus!!
I know I've been away for weeks as I've been extremely busy with work and traveling every week. After all the drama on my 5402SA and the APSC in Florida back in February, I asked them to send my watch directly to the manufacture in Le Brassus. I am so glad I did!I just got the estimate and everything that needs to be done will cost way less than what Clearwater had quoted me. The new estimate $2762 vs. $4398. Isn't this just ridiculous! I guess they need some properly trained watchmakers down in FL to do better assessments on the condition of timepieces. Something else that is just great is that they also offered case and bracelet refinishing. Can't wait to see what my puppy will look like when I get it back. Yay!!!Any way, just very happy with the news and wanted to share!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Watches are the new currency!
Wedding watch..... POLL What should I wear...
Okay, so I'm getting married this month (I've referred to my other half as my wife for a couple years now because we've been engaged forever and were supposed to be wed a LONG time ago but a family death and other things meant we pushed the wedding to now.....) I am wearing a dark green suit, white shirt, brown tie, brown shoes. On my right hand I am wearing a pinky signet ring in platinum. Right wrist will have some white metal braceletes (steel, wg, pt, ect). My lapel will have a small silver pin, tie bar is platinum and enamel. Left hand will have my wedding band (platinum plain band that's brushed....very basic).Should I wear a 5164 (my all time favorite watch...actually will have to buy one this weekend...long story, I sold mine but have remorse in letting it go). Or should I buy a friend's 5726 (white dial on bracelet). In talking to my other half we think this.....The nautilus bracelet is far more formal and may look better for the wedding and match with all the other bling I'm w
No Q-series 372?
As mentioned earlier, I've been shopping for a new 372. However, it seems there are no Q-series in existence and AD's don't know when they will be coming in. Anyone know what's up? We're deep into 2014 already!
Trade or not trade......
I am getting that little itch again to buy something different so I am looking for some input on a decision I'm trying to make. I m thinking about trading my TT GMT Master II plus some cash for a close to new pre-owned TT Daytona with the Panda Dial. I seem to be drawn to that Panda dial. My GMT is a P serial number that I have had since about 2003. I own some SS pieces and just want to keep a TT in the stable. Would be interested in hearing some opinions on trading or just keeping what I own?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
