Omega to Breitling
Gents,Recently purchased an Omega Speedmaster racing with the yellow. Spent around $4,700 on the piece and could not stand the watch once it left the store as it pulled the hair in my arm and was very uncomfortable to wear. The Jewler said I could switch it for another omega or a Breitling. I'd really like to stay around the same price...maybe around $5,000. Good options? I currently own a new ceramic sub and a Tag heuer blue regatta. The watch has to be new as this is an authorized dealer. Thanks Gents.
Recent delivery of 5711 in the U.S.?
Hi,Has anyone taken a delivery of 5711 steel, either blue or white dial, during the last few weeks in the U.S.? I am on the waitlist for both dials (preference for white) at 2 ADs and apparently they have not been given a white dial since March. Typically, both of them receive 3 white dials in a year. However, they are yet to receive their remaining 2 white dials for the year. It seems that Patek has really dried up 5711s in the U.S. Just checking whether it is a more widespread phenomenon. Thanks
5711 or 5712 at German ADs?
Hi all,I am planning a trip to Frankfurt, Germany in a couple of months and was wondering if there is a chance for me to purchase either a 5711 blue or 5712 in Germany if I start calling around different ADs now.I know that the 5711 is a difficult piece to source regardless of the location but was hoping that I would be lucky enough to purchase one during my visit! Even though the 5712 is a bit over my budget, if there's a better chance of sourcing a 5712 during my visit, I wouldn't mind spending a bit more as well. Thanks!
PAM 115 vs 219--A Few Questions
Good afternoon TRF, I posted in the Panerai section fairly recently as I decided I'm ready to buy one and would like a left-handed (Destro) model. While someone here recommended the PAM 123 which I looked up and instantly loved, I decided the $10k+ price tag is more than I'd like to spend, especially considering this will be my first. I have narrowed my search to a 219 and a 115. Both are around the same price (both used). I am partial to the 115 because of the second hand but have a few questions/reservations. Does anyone have any insight as to which model holds its value better? I know many people here say don't worry about the value just buy what you like but this is important to me so I hope y'all understand . Also, the 115 does not come with any accessories (box/straps etc). While there are mixed feelings on this when it comes to Rolex, I am wondering what the consensus is when it comes to Panerai? I get the sense it affects value more than Rolex but I'm really not sure. Unfortun
