Marathon Diver's Quartz Medium review | Worn and Wound
When we last looked at Marathon, I was quite impressed by their affordable and attractive Navigator watch. It was straightforward, simple, legible, lightweighteverything you want in a good day-to-day beater. But the Navigator is really only the tip of the iceberg of what Marathon has to offer. In fact, when a lot of people think of Marathon, they think of their tough-as-nails diver/SAR watches. These big, brutal, mil-spec watches in solid steel aren't kidding around. They are known for their build quality, no-nonsense designs and rugged looks. In somewhat of a surprising move, Marathon released a new entry to their diver line designed for those looking for a smaller option. The descriptively named "Diver's Quartz Medium" takes the looks and build of it's larger brethren, namely the 42mm TSAR, and reduces the package by 20%. The new size comes in at a surprising 36 x 43.5 x 12.5mm. Yup, a 36mm super-tough, mil-spec dive watch. While 36mm is more of a small than a medium (unless they hav
AP ROC 26320 silver/white dial pricing?
Hello guys, new to the forums here. i'm looking to purchase a new AP ROC 26320 silver/white dial from an AD very soon. This will be my first higher end watch and i've done some research on here. i was wondering what kind of discount is acceptable from an AD? I was told 25% discount from msrp. Does that sound reasonable? Thanks in advance for the help! Will post pics soon after picking it up!Cheers,Wilson
Auction Purchase Advise
Hi All,I have found an AP Royal Oak Off Shore Safari in an auction for approx 7,250.The auction house advised the watch has been tested for authentication but they do not have box and papers..What does everyone feel about such a deal? I guess it is fine if I keep the watch for life, but how does it effect resale value?
First Panerai questions
I've gotten a quote for right at 20% off Elementsin Time NYC on a PAM312. That was their first offer so thought I'd ask if it's the norm to get a little more than that off Panerai's site? Does this model have any downsides for a first purchase in any of your opinions? I really like just the plain PAM 112 but also like case back crystal and automatics in general; although, I could see myself being perfectly happy with the manual wind 112 if that makes any sense. Would be more of a connection with the watch to some extent. Any opinions or thoughts greatly welcomed. Thanks for your time!Alex
The un-official ~ "official Rolex Car/Truck/Suv thread"
Again, i apologize in advance if any of the content is offensive in any way! I thought it would be cool to Take a few pics of your Vehicle and you Rolex. Some will match and some wont. Some folks watches will cost more than their car...My favorite line and other's wont <--Am I supposed to hyphen that? Release the Kracken!!
