Swatch Group First Half Sales and Profits Jump to Record Levels
Swatch Group’s gross sales for the first half of 2010 exceeded SFr.3 billion for the first time ever, topping the 2008 record, and the future looks bright, thanks largely to China and Russia. The Group’s Chief Executive Nick Hayek told Reuters “We do not see what could keep us from achieving record sales and profit in 2010,” though he added that exchange rates and gold prices present continued risk. Net income rose 54.5% to SFr.465 million while operating profit rose 81.4% to SFr.626 million. Operating cash flow, at SFr.633 million, was SFr.386 million higher than in the prior-year period (SFr.247 million). Net cash and equivalents rose to SFr.1.33 billion, compared with SFr.1.1 billion at the end of 2009.Sales increased in the United States and in Europe, excluding Greece. “The U.S. will grow also in the second half, they have to catch up. I also expect strong growth in Western Europe,” Hayek said. He added that the second half, with the holiday sho
ever wonder
Well I have been thinking and wondering if anyone else is, why Breitling does not employ a more aggressive approach to advertising and flaughting their history. so my thinking made me look, and all the watch magazines I have nothing is ever said of Breitling. but almost all have some mention of rolex, and most of omega and Pams ( what i think are the closest competitors for Big B) Rolex boasts every chance they get about there water proofness and deepest watch, omega boast about 1st watch on the moon ( what about 1st watch in space) any other thoughs about why Breitling wants to stay quite amongst loudmouths
Omega GMT package
I've had this Omega for a week and, the whole package is a pretty well put together. The white outer box is made from solid thick white cardboard, with a compartment for the warranty cards, instruction book (hardback) and of course the watch. The watch itself is housed in the inner box of soft red leather. The watch with positional adjustment overnight is about +1 second per day. Given that the watch was purchased used and had traveled internationally in the mail, then I dropped it onto a wooden floor, I think that is quite exceptional timekeeping (at least in the short period I've owned it).Now I'm waiting for the original COSC results/certificate which for the enthusiast and those technically minded is one hell of a bonus The sword hands and the nicely sized GMT hands really add to the pleasure of this watch, making it highly visible in any lighting conditions. The wave pattern on the dial is a very interesting effect, although it looks quite dominating in the photographs it is very sub

Rubber B strap expensive
So I bent over literally and bought a blue tang strap last night. I still feel raped for paying so much for a rubber strap. I also ordered the Bergeon 7825. Combined I over spent for some rubber and a set of tweezers..lol...I saw a thread with a BLNR with the blue band and had to have it. Plus I wanted options and it will help save the PCL's. Will post pictures once they come in. By they way I spent days researching threads and felt the Rubber B blue matched the BLNR bezel more than the Everest strap. It was a tough choice to pick which brand and which type. Didn't want to take apart the oyster bracelet so that is what swung me to the tang model. Feel free to post any strap pictures so I don't feel bad..
