Currently on Mechanics of Style there is a contest where you can win a Girard-Perregaux Golden Bridge Pen, we suggest you check it out.MOST OF LIFE'S big questions boil down to Who are we, and what are we doing here? Inevitably, any new publication, in any medium, must offer an answer, and that's just what Girard-Perregaux's Mechanics of Style a digital journal for the modern gentleman, covering everything in life that accompanies a fine wristwatch attempts to do.Start with the we. How about this reasoning for no 3rd year warranty
I'm really struggling with whether to get the 3rd year warranty too. The downsides being that (a) you have to spend a whole month of that 3rd year without your watch, and (b) there's some small chance that the watch will be injured in some way during shipping or at Clearwater (think stories of new scratches). And the upside to getting the 3rd year warranty seems to be only somewhat compelling, since I'd imagine it's unlikely that there will be a problem with the watch in year 3 if there's been nothing wrong during years 1 and 2.
George Clooney in The American
Not a very good film but certainly a lot of shots of George wearing a Speedy on black leather.Such a cool watch! It was a toss up between that and a Sub for me and I picked the Sub. Reckon a Speedmaster will be my next watch though!!
Nashville Boutique opened today!
Hey folks, just a quick note to say that the Nashville, TN Omega Boutique opened today at The Mall at Green Hills across from Tiffany's. Today was their soft opening with a grand opening sometime at the first of the year. Just got back from a quick look-see. Great staff, inventory looks to be at at 90%. One case with a defective latch was empty... Store was full of people. In the 45 minutes I was there, someone picked up a Solar Impulse and someone else looked to be picking up a Planet Ocean. BTW, did not see a PO Liquid Metal. sorry no pics :(
