15300 Back from Service
As promised, photos of my blue dial 15300...H Serial, post Spa.The impetus for sending to Clearwater was a broken hairspring, but a full-service was required. OUCH! So...I also decided to have the marks (mostly on bezel and near lugs) removed via a refinish. The bracelet was looking a tad worn, but now all is up to snuff. The watch definitely needs more TLC than a Rolex but I do love it.
Why am I so mysteriously drawn to the Skyland Blacksteel?
I think there is only one way to cure it...
Identified my Patek as a "2551" 18k
Thanks to all on this site I finally identified my Patek as a Gubelon #2551SORRY FOR THE ERROR ON MY LAST POST.Now to figure how to put it up for sale ?thanks Larry
Panerai noob
Hello guys,I never thought I'd say this but I started to look at Panerai having dismissed the watch as being the other big black watchAnd boy, was I surprised. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1428570041.959346.jpgThis 317 is pretty cool technically. Monopusher 8 day GMT. And the price point (on forums) is pretty decent! So my basic question is: am i going crazy? What's the draw of Pam? I know these complicated models are really for the diehard fans but interested in what the guys in this subforum have to sayCheers!Thinking of a 311 actually...
Question about RSC and vintage watches
How does RSC handle replacement parts for vintage watches? Let's say someone brings them a 1675 or a 5513 (matte dial) and wants as much replaced as possible. Does Rolex still manufacture a small amount of vintage dials, hands, bezels, etc, for purposes like this or how do they handle things like that?Apologies if this is a dumb question.
