My new Offshore - Ceramic Diver!!!
Hi Guys,I am extremely overjoyed with my newest AP which I just picked up from the store yesterday... The Royal Oak Offshore Diver black ceramic!!!This watch is simply stunning and has to actually be seen in the flesh to best appreciate it...The ceramic detailing is incredible, I just love the vertical brushed lines on the bezel and the casing + the polished ceramic on the corners....The colour shifts from greyish to pitch black under different lighting conditions and is really flashy whilst stealthy at the same time... The orange highlights really pop against the background....I also find the size and weight extremely comfortable to wear and being ceramic I find myself least worried about accidentally scratching it somewhere... I actually wore this to sleep last night as I just did not feel like taking it off...Here's a few pics taken hastily but I do hope you like them :-)Cheers!!!!
New Omega NATO strap
Picked this up at the boutique this evening. Hadn't seen it before. Was a Rio games special edition. Supposed to look like swim lanes. Going to go on my titanium SM300.
Houston- we might have a problem: 5905
Woke up yesterday, my 4 month old Patek 5905 had stopped. Was wearing it the day before so that was odd. The watch i Think has a 72 hour power reserve. However the stopwatch was running so I thought I must have accidentally started the Chrono24 and left it running overnight which drained the power.Wore it again yesterday with no chrono- everything fine all day. This morning- stopped again.Looks like I'm gonna be sending it in to the AD. Pisser as I now have to sit and wait likely months to get the watch back. Maybe they will give me a 5524 as compensation for my troubles. 😊 :)
THAT feeling........
Extremely proud to have achieved this. My most sincere thanks to all of you, for having guided the way with such overwhelming knowledge and incentive, be it directly, to those who kindly responded my PMs, or simply for sharing the joy through all the fantastic pictures and information here. The first wrist shot:And the celebration shot:
Are 116520 and 116500LN cases really exactly the same?
I have tried searching around for this info, through google and this forum. It appears that the general consensus is that 116520 and 116500LN cases are identical. However, recently I've had the chance to compare both closely and I think there are slight differences. Most noticeable are the backs of the crown guards. These two are described by dealer as unpolished.I am pretty new to Daytona's. Are these cases really different from factory?First image is 116500LN, second is 116520.
