Recently, Germany-based watch blogger Zurab Zazashvili sat down for dinner and an extensive interview with Jean-Marc Pontru, CEO of the haute-de-gamme Swiss watch brand Roger Dubuis. In this Q&A feature conducted for , Pontru covers a variety of subjects, including the brand’s recent focus on skeletonization and its dedication to achieving the Geneva Hallmark for all its watches.WT: Roger Dubuis is still a very young brand. How did you successfully establish Roger Dubuis in a world characterized by tradition and histories? What makes Roger Dubuis different from other watch brands?JMP: The story of Roger Dubuis began in 1995 and the idea of [differentiating] ourselves was born at the same time. The renowned French jeweler and watchmaker Cartier has recently unveiled a new interpretation of its legendary Roadster watch. The novel "S" line captures attention by its imposing exterior. Does anyone know what the A in "81950 A" on my 80s Chronomat means?
I see lots of 81950 model 1980s Chronomats online but I am having trouble finding info on models that say 81950 A on the back. I cannot seem to find good info on the pre-1991 models. Any ideas what the A means?
Omega Seamaster Bracelet Question
Hi, does anyone know if it easier to add or remove links from the new Seamaster Professional 300m? The old bracelets were notoriously difficult to remove or add links and the pins often bent when they were removed. It was also a job that was done at a jewellers and not at home. They seem to have gone to a screw and pin system, so are the pins easier to remove and can it be done at home? Thanks in advance.
What my AD said....
I noticed that most people like to post what their AD says, so here is mine.We have seen an increase in sales of the professional line recently, but we don't know what why. This tells me 2 things:Everyone who posts about the stainless models being discontinued is wrong.Everyone reading this forum gets crazy and buys more.By the way, they have plenty of stock still, everything from subs, the the old sea-dwellers to the deep sea.
