UTS GMT 1000M Watch
There are a lot of boutique dive watches available right now, many sporting the same cases, dials and movements. Smaller companies can't afford the cost of a custom design, so after a while many look the same. UTS, on the other hand, makes its own cases from steel ingots; you'll not see their designs used elsewhere. An interesting mix of angular lugs and round body, the UTS cases wrap nicely around the wrist and have a massive 5mm bracelet as a matching option.UTS has recently announced a new addition to the 1000m line, the 1000m GMT using the ETA 2893 movement. Impulse purchased a used Speedmaster. HELP!
I was looking for a used/beater (under $1000) Speedmaster reduced for when I leave my Rolex Sub at home and came across this one on ebay (link Below). I was a bit impulsive and bought it without doing enough research and now I have some questions. The watch looks to be in ok shape except for the case back which just says Omega instead of Speedmaster and the black bezel which is scratched. Why would that be? If its the wrong caseback, would Omega have the right one for sale as well as a new bezel? How much is a full service for this watch? Also, how bad a deal did I make due to my impulsiveness? I'm a new member here and looking to purchase my first Rolex. I first saw the submariner on my dad's wrist as a kid and thought it was a cool watch. My dad purchased it in 1967 for less than $500 and still wears it to this day. He was a dive master so he used it for its intended purpose. It's in bad shape, but I still admire the watch and as a result would like my first Rolex to be a sub.i1064.photobucket/albums/...psbhioxq0t.jpg
