Watches NEWS
Disappointed in the recent new color designs on the ROO
I mean seriously with all the weird colors...it went from high-end luxury to kiddos fake replica feeling...Though, I am glad that they heard us and started giving the 42mm with ceramic bezels...I am serious douching my APs and just go back to Rolexes (I sold all my Rolexes just before they all went up in prices)
My First AP arrived today!!
The watch that has been haunting me ever since I discovered this forum is now with me, a big thank you to DavidSW for making this happen, great service, communication at at great deal. It's a Diver, and I could not be happier, an amazing watch that looks so much better in person than in photos, well my photos anyway!!Attachment 382350Attachment 382351Attachment 382352ImageUploadedByTapatalk1366978096.734877.jpgJust wanted to say a big thankyou to everyone who had posted photos of the Diver and to Submarino for his review of the Diver which first got me intrigued by this amazing piece.
Vintage Omega Seamaster Megaquartz Watch Expert Advice Required
I remember fondly years ago my dad wearing this watch all the time. Holidays on the beach, by the pool and for day to day work. Well he hasn't worn it for ages so I enquired as to whether he still had it. To my surprise look what he took out of his bedside drawer. I think the battery must has gone as it isn't working and when I popped the back off the plexiglas fell off too. does any one know any details about it as I have done search after search on google images and nothing that resembles it pops up.Thanks in advance.
Watch Photos Part 5
Hi. Today Ive been busy taking photos of my Omega Deville Chronoscope. Probably not the best known of Omega watches but none the less a lovely piece, at least I think it is. All the best Alan
LiquidMetal Photos
Several have asked how the LM differs from the standard PO. I have not owned a standard but here are some shots that may show the differences.Of course the not-so-subtle caseback shouts different:Notice that all the engraving left no room for the anti-counterfeiting globe which now appears on the back of the 5:00 lug. (World Premier is a bit much IMO as is the and Only of the sapphire sandwich.)Then there are the applied numerals and Omega, red Seamaster, silver lettering and minute indexing, and if you look carefully, you will see the green [ZrO2]:The LM dial is made of the same ceramic material as the bezel and the date window appears to be cut with clearly defined edges rather than stamped as with the standard dial:And of course, the LiquidMetal is only available in the 42mm size.Fr.
