44mm SS Novelty 26400SO thoughts.
I traded my only AP (26320) 6 months back and focused on collecting Rolex however I'm on the verge of coming back and trading my DSSD for SS/ceramic Novelty. Not a fan of the rubber strap but will order a GP in a few weeks and despite it's larger size,( incidentally I intended to go down a notch despite flirting with the idea of YMII) I'm actually looking forward to it. I have a few week wait until it's here but looking for wrist shots and assurances that this is a good move for me.Any owners out there willing to give their thoughts?
AP servicing question
I think my 15400 runs too fast occasionally so I think it needs a regulation.I was just wondering how much is the servicing by official AP service centre and how long does it take? ( there is an AP service centre in London)Anyone?Have a lovely weekend gents
Another incoming thread...sort of
A new baby at home coupled with a busy work schedule really cuts down on Rolex Forum time...I know I owe Thomas (TSW) and Connor (Steelerfan65) some wrist shots, which I am terrible at by the way.I picked up my first AP (Diver) back in June. I was thrilled to be in the club.I've always had a weakness for white dial chronographs and I have tried on the Safari while in Vegas a couple of times - I just loved it. I never thought I would be able to add it this soon.So a few weeks back I was able to add the Safari...Thanks again to DavidSW for another wonderful piece! The bad news...heading back to Vegas shortly...looking to shop for something 44mm or finally get to try on the white 15400...wish me luck!
Nautilus bracelet links size
Can anyone please measure the length of a Nautilus bracelet link, count the total number of non-removable links on the 6-hour side of the bracelet, and also measure the total length of the non-removable part of the bracelet for the 6-hour side?Reason: I'm considering adding a Nautilus to my collection, but my slim wrist requires me to size the 6-hour side of every bracelet quite short and accurate. For example, with the Sub-C 3 full links is too short for me, 4 full links is too long. 3 full inks + a half link is perfect. Old Rolex bracelets are out of question since they have 4 fixed links. I'm wondering how much flexibility do Nautilus bracelets have to offer.Thank you in advance
Would you accept a "brand new" patek 5990 with these scratches?
Geneva hand selected A 5990 for me and it came in. The entire reason for them to hand select one for me was to make sure I had no problems with the watch that I have previously had. But bad news before it even got to me. HSWA said that the watch had some scratches on it. HSWA NY received it, saw some scratches through the plastic sealed bag and opened it to give it some extra QC before sending it to me. Keep in mind, this 4th replacement 5990 I am receiving was hand selected special for me, unlike the others that were just sent to me without any extra QC from Geneva. HSWA NY noticed before taking the watch out of the sealed package that there is one deep scratch by the clasp which I can feel with my nail, its deep... and other lighter scratches around the clasp area. They sent me pictures.HSWA NY sent the watch to me so I could personally inspect it to see if I could live with it. Otherwise I can send it back no questions asked. There is also a very small blemish on the dial that I can
