In-Depth: A Visit To Glashtte Originals Alfred Helwig Watchmaking School
Glashütte has a very strong tradition of horological education, dating back to the 19th century. Today, the school is run by Glashütte Original and named after its famous student and instructor, Alfred Helwig. While you may not know of Alfred Helwig, you most likely know of his famous invention, the flying tourbillon. HODINKEE recently visited the school and met instructor Thomas Goldbeck for a tour. Omega 2599.80 is coming back to me
Well guys, my very first swiss automatic watch was an Omega, and specifically it was the 2599.80. I recently sold it to fund my Breitling CA.I still miss that watch and I've come across an opportunity to purchase another one in mint to perfect condition - boxes, papers and red dot intact. Its on its way back to me and I'll post pictures when I receive it in a week.Let the waiting and nail biting begin.
How many half links on your sub C?
Got my LVC yesterday and this was the first watch I have ever received that didn't fit me with all the links still intact. It was just too big.I got a LB Brand new from AD last week and fit perfect. LVC didn't. I noticed the LVC has one more half link that the LB does not have. Any LB's out there have more then 1 half link?Any LV's out there have less then 2 half links?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
