Review of the Orient CFT00004B On WatchReport.com
The Orient CFT00004B is a handsome, semi-dressy sport watch which incorporates Orient's own 46R40 self-winding automatic movement. It has a great looking polished case and bracelet, a power reserve indicator, a slide rule, and an "open heart" skeleton dial that shows the balance wheel and the crown and stem assembly.Click above to read the full review on WatchReportwatches-dealerSee more automatic watches at Orient Watch USA here.See Orient watches on eBay here.See Orient watches on Amazon here.
Help with Vintage Omega Pocket Watch
Hi guys, So a good friend of mine made this purchase recently at an antique shop. He paid $300.00 with a chain. The guy told him it was from the 1940's. But we both have been doing some research and my gut tells me something is wrong with this watch. Anyone have any insight or knowledge that would be great!!!
Followilng NigelUKs lead... New to Me!
Hello Forum Members! Just bought my very first Panerai (PAM00512) and received delivery this past Tuesday. Absolutely in love with the watch for all the reasons Nigel UK has written in his posts. I've included a few pictures below.Being new to Panerai, I was wondering if forum members could help me out with answers a few questions...1) I have the original box, manuals, hang tags, and warrantee form with the watch which was purchased in January 2016 here in the US. What I find curious is that the watch is a early Q series example (<100 out of 2000) and has a rubber strap and deployment buckle. Does anyone know if the rubber strap is the original that came with the 512? I looked on the Panerai site and they do not sell this strap for the 1940 Radimir nor have I seen any pcitures I have seen so far. 2) Another curious item is the deployment buckle. Per the serial number and the Panerai labeling, it looks like a factory item to me. Has anyone seen this deployment buckle before?
Looking for experienced thoughts on buying watch with this RSC report
Looking for guidance from you more experienced buyers. Would you hesitate to buy a watch that has the following RSC report? Watch is a 2008-9 Milgauss GV. Price is fair, not extremely low like it has any discounts based on this info. It is for sale at a very reputable AD/used dealer. Just want to make sure in yalls opinion it is or isn't an issue long or short term, both mechanically and visuallyInitial condition:Bracelet worn Case scratched Crystal chipped Case lugs dented. signs of previous refinishing Bezel scratched Crown dentedBasically looks like externally rough shape. I'm not positive how the repair works to know if it can be fixed without taking anything away from it. For example, can the case lugs and worn bracelet be fixed without a complete replacement? AD requested to cancel deposit paid?
I hv paid a deposit to an AD for a hulk which now they have been asking me to cancel the booking due to they don’t know when they will get one in. Is it legally they can do so? Or they have to deliver if I disagree to it if I don’t mind the wait?Anyone has encounter this before ? I assume it is a valid contract they must deliver. They offered to put a deposit and I accepted it.
