Cadence 4:20 Watch For The Most Important Time Of The Day
Not that Cadence is the last brand I would have guessed may release a timepiece like this, but the sport watch brand wasn't HIGH on the list. For those needing a bold reminder when it is blaze hour, Cadence offers up the 4:20 watch. A pretty simple minimalistic design with baton hour markers and hands, save for a bold Arabic numeral indicator at 4:20. Actually, the indicator is at 4 o'clock, but when the hour and minute hand are touching it - the time will be 4:20.The explanation they give for the watch is rather amusing: "If you think 4:20 is the most important time of day, this watch is for you. If you have no idea why 4:20 is a special time of day, there is nothing here for you."Growing up in California I know exactly what it means - and it isn't tea time. It is marijuana smoking time - for those so inclined. Now you have a pretty subtle watch you can wear with a suit, but one that you can stare at and also have a daily reminder of your daily habit. Introducing The A. Lange & S?hne Richard Lange Tourbillon "Pour le Merite," Now In Whi
Guten Tag again! A. Lange & S?hne sure is on a special-edition roll. We recently brought you the Langematik Perpetual in white gold, and we're happy to say that the Richard Lange Tourbillon "Pour le Mrite" is getting the same treatment. These new editions are exciting because they give us another chance to take detailed looks at what makes these watches great. So, let's look on. 2 OF 18 Firstly, the dial is argent-colored solid-silver. This creates a noticeable contrast to the blued-steel hands and virtually flawless printing of the overlaying subdials. The case, in?finely polished gold with curved lugs, measures in at 41.9 mm by 12.2 mm. Some might think it too wide, but the design actually lives up to the model's lineage. The layout of the subsidiary dials is such that they are centered on the corners of an isosceles triangle. Here's an abridged Lange history lesson. In late-18th-century Dresden, Johann Heinrich Seyffert was known as a principal pioneer of Saxon watchm

my new baby... so happy!!!
I gave my Black Bond Chronograph to my dad as a present last month... I gave it to him for all the sacrifices he made as a parent by working at two jobs to put me and my sisters through college!!! He really never got any big present like this and has always loved the old blue chronograph... also if there were presents for mom and dad it was usually a combined present for mom and dad and it was usually what mom wanted and dad just went along with it (new stuff for the house or if it was for him a small power tool)... but this time, it was just gonna be a big surprise for him and it was, :DSo since the Bond was gone I have been rocking the Casio Riseman G-Shock that my loving GF gave me for Xmas...But finally, on March 4th... I did it... I went to the favorite Omega AD store and procured this... the watch I've been lusting for since January...Now next on the list a Omega Speedmaster MoonWatch... and then my saving for my first Rolex, :D hopefully a SS Sub (2010 when it gets upgraded)...
A question of accuracy and time
I understand the stated accuracy of the movements.I also understand the various apps for measuring watch accuracy. But what is more important - to me at least - is how the watch is set.I stop the movement and adjust the hands as best I can visually. Then I start the movement by pushing in the crown while viewing a time clock. Lot of room for human error. Then I think there must be some short time lag before the gears begin turning the hands. So while my watch is very accurate I am more interested in setting and reading the time correctly. When I just quickly glance at the dial I can easily tell the actual time within 30 sec. (just by looking at the hands).Good enough for rock 'n roll. Of course I can read the sweep seconds for greater precision.I am curious what methods people use set their watch. Maybe its just my OCD...Forgive a newbie - I just wanted to start a thread that I thought TRF folks could help me understand (and that was not about DayC's).
